Het Visioen — Restaurant in Bruges

They cancelled our reservation. Immediately when we showed up for our reservation, they yelled at us because they were overbooked. We had gotten an online confirmation just hours before, so it's particularly upsetting when the two servers (a woman and an older man with a mustache) chastised us because they had decided to cancel our reservation without telling us. It wouldn't have been such a problem if they had been apologetic about the situation but they turned it around on us as if it were our fault that they were overbooked. Worst. Customer...

Visited last week. Had the grey shrimp, white asparagus, egg, and hollandaise sauce to start, and the steak for mains. The starter was delicious, while the steak was outstanding (as was the pepper sauce which accompanied it); it was cooked perfectly and I'm struggling to think of a time when I have had a better steak. The service was very friendly and attentive, but never overbearing, and the atmosphere was very relaxing. We had a lovely evening and will certainly be returning when we visit...

Amazingly flavoured food. Every bite was delicious. Steak salad, prawns, Vietnamese chicken spring rolls, octopus and Belgian fries. Friendly staff and owner took the time to talk us through the menu. Our kids also enjoyed the food and we were tucked in a quiet corner to minimise annoying other guests (at our reques so we could relax). Would definitely visit again...
