Terra Promessa — Restaurant in Bruges

This restaurant is truly a hidden gem in Bruge! We happened to find it by chance on the map and so glad we did!!! I don't think I've had such good italian food even in some of the restaurants in Italy!!!! The pizzas and bruschettas were to die for and the tiramisu was out of the world that my mouth waters while I write this! Not to forget their homemade limoncello. So good!! We loved it so much that we went back there for dinner and it was right opposite where we stayed at Novotel hotel. I will go back to Bruge just to eat at this...

Looking for something off the tourist strip and found this. Still several of us tourists there(!) but also locals - good sign. Waitress was welcoming and efficient in a totally full restaurant - not generally our experience here, where a full house has tended to mean poor/slow/ churlish wait staff. Totally the opposite! The dining experience here was unfortunately mediocre. My girlfriend and I both ordered pizzas which were distinctly lacking in flavour and had a watery consistency. They were also rather sloppy, with the insipid toppings falling off the pizza. Moreover the atmosphere was rather dead and, felt like a 1970s hotel lobby. Service was average.
