Reply to the Owner/Feedback Response: First, this isn’t a fake review because I have proofs of receipts and bank transactions that can prove we had dinner here. We are travelers with serious money earning jobs and were visiting Brussels with no incentive to write fake reviews. I am attaching proofs of my Amex transactions which shows amount spent and dining date at this restaurant

Second, we thought it was Farhad reading through reviews because when we asked the server his name, he declined. We were served by 2 people. A lady who got us a table and then a South Asian guy with a beard who could speak hindi.

The hostile response from the management shows your lack of seriousness in even listening to genuine feedback and improving.

—————— Absolutely terrible experience and a waste of money. The food was bland, flavorless, and nothing like authentic Indian cuisine. It felt like all the spice and character of Indian food had been stripped away. As Indians who have eaten these dishes our whole lives, we were shocked by how substandard the quality was.

When we raised this concern, instead of listening, the server with a beard chose to argue, quarrel, and treat us with open disrespect. No manager was available to step in, leaving us stuck with bad food and worse service.

A restaurant carrying the name of India and Bombay in Brussels should represent authenticity and pride. Instead, this place damages that reputation and insults the cuisine it claims to serve. No Indian would accept such food, and no guest should tolerate such service.

Save your money. There are far better Indian restaurants in Brussels that actually deliver on taste...

Very very bad service - Scamming customers

We ordered through Uber eats for 6 colleagues. Delivery was slow and food arrived almost cold. They advertise their Tandoori Mixed grill for 19,95 EUR with salad, 2 sauces and naan. However they only delivered the meat, no salad, sauces or naans. After seeing this the restaurant was contacted by phone, they insisted the order was complete, not even acknowledging they made a mistake nor offering a solution. They kept repeating the order was complete and hung up on my colleague.

Definitely not recommended. They scam people online. 4 pieces of meat for 20 EUR is a rip off! They should be banned on Uber eats.

In reply to the owners reaction: We called the moment we got the food to address the issue. There was no solution offered, the person on the phone acted like the order was complete No offer was made to pick up the naan and salade ourselves. We also didn’t mention the food was good since we called before staring to eat. So even in this reply this restaurant is...

Reply to Bombay Inn's response:

Listen, the fact that it took you 2 months to respond to my feedback says alot about your business as a whole. If you are only getting back to my review now, how are you able to make amends to what you are offering to the general public. For your information, this is an honest review and not written under the influence of any third party.

Let me just say, I'm of South Asian origin myself. You can fool the locals in Brussels with your poor quality food and any non Asian person be it black, white or Hispanic for that matter, by serving them something they are not familar with but I certainly know what a standard curry should look like and what consistency in should be served.

It was absolutely appalling!! And definitely would not recommend this place at all.

Don't insult "Indian cuisine" by serving what you currently do.

Just by retaliating back on a review left on your page does not justify the kinda service and food you...

Reply after Bombay’s comment: As you remember, I did complain about the curry saying it does not taste like one and mixing potatoes, peas, cauliflower and other veggies plus no coconut milk is not normal in a curry! However you did not offer to change my dish :) Also we appreciate the drinks on the house, but this was offered by you in view of us being unhappy and it does not make me change my view in terms of your dishes. True that there is a terrace. Unfortunately the food is dissapointing: average at best in terms of taste, plus not authentic dishes, for eg the Mumbai curry was actually a vegetable stew.. I was explained that is how the Mumbai curry is made and also that it contains no coconut milk.. The lassi was terrible, especially the mango one. The atmosphere seems heavy. It’s usually busy and seems unaired. However the ‘busy’ vibe gives it a cozy impression.

A little bit dissapointed though still quite good. Starter was good. Main course was way over salted to a point it was not eatable. But our dishes were taken back and replaced without any issue the dishes were replaced. Dessert was disappointing. It was some years we went there We were actually regular customers and well ... the place has dropped a little, quire a bit actually, in quality. Buy the service was ok and the overall evening, all things considered, not too bad. One good note : the house white wine is excellent. The cocktails ok. The place could use some renovation. The decor, paintings, chairs and tables are at least 15 year old from when we came first. Keeping you knife and forks throughout the menues is quite unseen !!!!!! Half way through the evening it became way too hot. Sweating like a *** middle in the winter. Put some airco on....
