Delirium Café truly lives up to its reputation as a haven for beer lovers, and our recent visit there only cemented this belief. Nestled in the heart of Belgium, known for its exquisite beer culture, Delirium Café stands out as a must-visit destination for those looking to immerse themselves in the vast world of Belgian brews. Upon our early evening arrival, my wife and I were greeted by a vibrant yet welcoming atmosphere that beckoned us deeper into its folds. The real charm revealed itself as we made our way to the bar in the basement, a cozy enclave that felt like stepping into a beer connoisseur’s best-kept secret. The space, though bustling, maintained an air of intimacy and warmth that made us feel right at home. The highlight of our visit was undoubtedly the service provided by our bartender. With an impressive knowledge of the extensive beer selection and a keen sense of what we might enjoy, he expertly guided us through our choices. His recommendations were spot-on, allowing us to explore and appreciate a range of flavors that we might not have ventured to try on our own. We lingered for about 2.5 hours, a testament to the café’s captivating charm and the quality of its offerings. By the time we decided to depart, the place had filled to the brim, a clear sign of its popularity and the high regard in which it is held by both locals and visitors alike. For anyone looking to dive into Belgium's legendary beer culture, Delirium Café is a beacon. The combination of its atmospheric charm, friendly and knowledgeable staff, and an unparalleled beer selection make it a standout. It’s a place where memories are made, and tastes are refined. Highly recommended for an authentic and enjoyable experience.

Delirious at Delirium. An absolutely amazing atmosphere and perfect for a night of drinking and experimenting with new and local beers. €25 you can try 10 small taster glasses of beer from a set menu, this differs within the attic which has another 10 menu of beers. Aside from that you have the basement area where the majority of beers are sold, but good luck navigating the menu! I felt like the basement was a big claustrophobic and hard to move around, it was hot, sweaty, grungy and proper anarchy if thats your vibe. The mid floor was more calm, more of a classic pub vibe, with cool beer vats made into seating areas. The attic again was a even more mellow vibe. The tequila room was party central, with blasting music and good vibes, this spread into the monastery area too where we did have a lot of fun in the evening meeting new people. Toilets were...bad. Avoid. The anarchy vibe follows through to the toilets and they seem unattended for hours on end. The toilet seat was broken in one but when nature calls I had to suffer. Theres not much to say about the beers, taste is subjective but we did enjoy having a large variety of beers to experiment with.

My favorite bar village in Brussels located in a narrow alleyway near the sister of Manneke Pis. Bar village, since it consist of multiple bars all consolidated in one place. There’s a monestarium bar loaded with trappist draft beers, cocktail bars, shot bars, basement bar, upstairs bar, ground floor bar with all their own themes. You can find thousands of beers here! In 2004 they even held the Guinness World Record for most number of beers available at 2004 different beers. If you can’t choose you can order a meter of beer to get started off, just go off the many draft beers or just ask the friendly staff! You can also buy some snacks. If you don’t like large crowds, best visited during the early afternoon if you also want to easily find a place to sit down, and the music isn’t too loud. During the evening the place comes really alive, which can be great to bring (a) friend(s) for a great evening of beer tasting!

The beer selection is good. Plenty of space and, moreover, a variety of locations (it was interesting to sit in each, but we only managed to sit in 3). Good music with perfectly matched volume, which does not interfere with communication. The bar has everything to get a high rating. Everything except the service. We went out for a smoke, leaving 2 not full glasses of beer, a jacket, a bag of groceries bought in advance. When we came back 5 minutes later we saw that the table was already occupied and there was nothing of the above mentioned on it. The staff said they had put things away so they wouldn't be stolen, but they poured out the beer and threw away our grocery bag. The jacket, of course, was returned and some beer was spilled (after a few minutes of arguing). I would especially like to mention the skinny blond bartender. I am sure that replacing him will reduce the number of such reviews.

Alright, so I’m judging this place for what it is, a spot for tourists and I’m not criticizing that and likely that’s why you are reading this. They call this the Delirium Village because it’s massive, which means there are plenty of places to sit, stand and mill about, which you should do because there are plenty of things to look at. The environment is a bit noisy, but that adds to energy and that’s your vibe, then you’ll dig it. Now, the beer. There is a ton of beer from all over the world and not just Belgium, but if you are not from Belgium, I highly recommend trying a few… oh, and make them small because those Belgians can make a strong beer. This isn’t my type of place typically but I knew that ahead of time and still enjoyed my experience for what it was. Oh, the menu has very light snacks only so make sure you are prepared for some hefty bevies before you go in. Cheers!

I've been there many, many times and enjoy taking first-timers with me to experience this unique setting. And each part/bar in the "Café" (group of bars) has a different sort of theme. The bartenders are just stellar. They have a tremendous "catalog" of beers from which to choose. It stays behind the counter. I think I read somewhere that Delirium set a Guinness Book Record of greatest variety of beers...? Over 2000, I think! On the RARE occasion you ask for something they don't have, or if you're up for something new, tell them what you like and what you don't and they'll make a grand suggestion! I've never been disappointed and always find something new to enjoy! You can't beat the charming walk to find the place. Yes, the streets do wind about like a bowl of spaghetti, but there's simply nothing like it! Tons of restaurants nearby as well!
