this place is a majestic looking building, seems like it can right out of the silver screen and placed here at this very popular market street in downtown Brussels.

around the restaurant area there are plenty of chocolate, fashion, and touristic memorabilia, all the shopping made us hungry and we heard they had pretty nice crepes here, so here we came.

they have plenty of sidewalk tables so we decided to sit outside to see the foot traffic and absorb as much as we could of this beautiful city.

there is no parking around the restaurant as most of the streets in this area are old style very narrow and most of people walk freely around. no official sidewalk loyalty in this strip of the downtown.

our waiter was pretty cool. he knew English and made sure to give us the best service he could offer, and he was on point for sure on that.

the inside of this place is so beautiful that for a second I wish we had sit inside, it has this old town, carpeting and chandelier magical vide, I felt like I was at a movie for sure.

LINDEMAN`S- this is a brand of cherry lambic that I had the chance to try here, as great as all other cherry lambics I bee having in this trip that is for sure, I love these beers. these cherry lambics are perfect for people like me who love sweet drinks and are not very loving of beer, but love the beer price! so this is a perfect option.

4 CHEESE PIZZA- I must be honest here, the pizza looked pretty nice for the thin crust lovers sadly I am to one of them, I am a carry, deep dish kind of gal, although the pizza looked great and the cheese tasted pretty nice, in the end of the day this was not my pizza style so I was not super happy with it, if you love some thin crust you will probably like this pizza, I just felt like I was eating pita bread with cheese on top, not for me really.

GRAND MARNIER CREPE- for desert I got me a grand marnier and vanilla crepe, this is definitely to share, the plate came with 2 whole crepes with a scoop of ice cream inside and a drizzle of grand marnier each, I could taste the liquor in there as well as taste the ice cream melting with the crepe at every bite. this is a great choice of desert for share, do not order this on your own it is very much a lot of food if you eat a meal and then this.

overall this was great ambiance and decor, the service was pretty nice as well, the negatives are that there are a lot of beers on the streets so you will have to deal with that if you sit outside as well as the for here I did not think was much special however everything else made the experience...

Last week we visited this restaurant for the second time because we had a good experience before.

The Poultry stew with mushrooms, cream, and Belgian fries I ordered was good. It was of a good temperature, tasteful, and nicely served. The fries were served on a separate plate with a sauce (which I forgot the name of) which was also tasteful.

De La véritable Banane Royale (ice cream) was also very good. It was served in a big cup with a lot of banana slices, plenty of liquid chocolate, and a soft cookie.

The waiter we had was also very friendly and served us well and quickly.

The only complaint we do have is that we discovered afterward that we paid for drinks we did not order. At this time we also realized that the waiter did not give us the bill before we had to pay. If the waiter had given us the bill beforehand, we could have pointed this out immediately. As a result, we had to pay 18,80 euros more.

My advice is to make sure that your waiter(s) do give the bill to customers beforehand to prevent this because this can become quite a large sum if people are not aware of this at that moment.

Despite our complaint, we still had a good time and will return here. Due to the complaint described above, I did subtract 2 stars from the 5.

OLDER REVIEW ==============

It was the first time I visited the city centre of Brussels and we decided to ate here for diner. I ordered the hamburger and must say that I really liked it. The taste was good, it wasn't too hot so you could eat it right away and it was baked well and was served nicely.

The fries itself where very tasty as well just as the salads that where both served with it.

The service was great. We asked for a table for 5 people and got helped right away and the people where friendly.

The only drawback I found was that it was quite warm in the building (that is the reason for 4 stars for the atmosphere).

In the end we had a good experience here so this restaurant will definitely be on our list for...

The place is very busy and not organized at all, and the waiter, who I believe is the manager, is clearly not prepared to deal with a busy restaurant. One of the waiters passed by my table and he took away a dirty plate that was on our table after we asked him if eventually someone was going to clean our table (after 15minutes and one came), and the other man who seemed to be the manager complained to him saying that there were other tables in front of us that needed to be served first. But that wasn't the reason why I'm disappointed with this establishment, my friend saw the supposed manager nearby (a big old man) and went to him to ask if he had a menu in English, and he simply didn't let my friend finish his sentence, he just interrupted him in the middle of what he was saying, saying that he was very busy and couldn't talk right now, he told my friend to go back to his table and that he would be served soon, then he left right away. It was a huge embarrassment and I saw some people around looking at my friend. The effort he made telling us rudely to go back to the table could have been used to simply answer if there was a menu in English. We didn't leave the restaurant immediately because we were hungry and didn't want to look for another place to eat at that moment. But definitely, with the service and the embarrassment we had, we won't be back and we don't recommend this place, unless you want to take a chance to be mistreated like that. A professional who works in a restaurant must be prepared to deal mainly with a full restaurant. May this experience alert people before they think about coming...

Came here for a drink and felt like we weren't overly welcome due to how rude the waiter was. As we came in, we were left for a bit confused if we were meant to take a seat anywhere or if we'd be shown to the table. We were eventually shown to the table, but it seemed this annoyed the waiter as he threw the menu down on the table, pointed at it, and walked off. We were then left for around 15 to 20 minutes trying to get the waiters' attention to order. When he finally came over, I tried to order in French, my French isn't the best, but I can get by. The waiter seemed to be annoyed that I wasn't fluent French speaking and was rude when speaking to us. We were then served the drinks around 10 minutes after ordering. We stayed for one drink and left due to the rudeness we'd encountered. During the drinks, I was looking through the menu at all they had on offer and thought I'd take some pics to upload to here. Whilst doing so, the waiter came past and snatched it off me, again leaving me feel quite unwelcome. The building is really interesting and so I'd recommend coming here to see that. They also have quite the range of food and drinks (my step daughters loved the hot chocolate!), although they are on the pricier side, but given the location and how interesting the building is, the cost is understandable. The way we were treated really left a negative impression, and for that reason, I wouldn't recommend coming here.

A curiously named place that bears no relationship to its name. Well it's near the Opera House, but no drugs... Great decor inside. Spread over several floors so plenty of space. Good menu range, pizza, pasta, burger and so more local dishes. Good drinks range for the usual Belgian beers and spirits. Visited twice as first experience was good, got fed up wandering from venue to venue on second night and decided to return. First night shared prawn croquettes starter (and again day 2). These are perhaps pricey. But are so across Belgium (we also had in Bruges). Then Belgian stew and chips. (No veg in stew, but now appreciate there is no veg in Belgian stew). Great amount of meat, beautifully cooked. Smoked salmon tagliatelle had more salmon than the reasonable price warranted. Masses of it. Both meals great. Pizza day 2. Both great, well cooked. Tasty. And finished with creme brulee. This being the only item to have let them down. Pud itself was warm and glaze burnt. Had we not been reserved English we could have complained I'm sure and no doubt replacement would have been sourced. Both nights bill to include drinks, starter and pud came in around 40 Euro each (late 2022) 2023 edit, Creme Brulé is off the menu. Boo. Vol au vent not the best, but large and tasty. But 5 visited with main course and drink and less than 90 euro.
