This restaurant definitely stands out thanks to the authentic building. The price wise are a bit expensive than regular restaurant in Brussels but you are in capital of city so it’s more or less normal for you to pay a lot comparing to other neighboring cities just like Leuven and Mechelen. If you want to check out the price, there are menu board outside so you can have basic idea before going in. They definitely have varieties of foods, drinks and desserts. Inside are cozy as you can expect them from outside it’s authentic. The waiters speaks different languages besides Dutch, French and English. They are very friendly and fast when it comes to service. My fiancé and I went to drop by for desserts and drinks. We would recommend this place for sure but I have no clue about paying 40 cents even you are client of the restaurant but i will come back to it later when I go back to have a diner next time :) They accept meal chèques just like Ednred and Sodexo.

Opera drug is restaurant in the middle of Center of Brussels, 3min from la grande place. We went there during the afternoon. We tasted the famous Mikado belgian chocolate crepe with ice cream. The crepe was very soft and it was two crepes with belgian chocolate and vanilla ice cream on the topping. We have teied it with the viennois chocolat and chantilly! Vlit was extremely tasty with good quality of Belgian chocolate. We also tasted their ice cream with Mexican trophy, it was very delicious. The ice cream was great, i highly recommend especially nougat pralin and hazelnut. The service was excellent, the waiter was very friendly and we were served in short time despite that the restaurant was full. We also enjoyed the little corner we're we stayed, the atmosphere was cozy and not noisy. It was a little hot inside. It

Last week we visited this restaurant for the second time because we had a good experience before. The Poultry stew with mushrooms, cream, and Belgian fries I ordered was good. It was of a good temperature, tasteful, and nicely served. The fries were served on a separate plate with a sauce (which I forgot the name of) which was also tasteful. De La véritable Banane Royale (ice cream) was also very good. It was served in a big cup with a lot of banana slices, plenty of liquid chocolate, and a soft cookie. The waiter we had was also very friendly and served us well and quickly. The only complaint we do have is that we discovered afterward that we paid for drinks we did not order. At this time we also realized that the waiter did not give us the bill before we had to pay. If the waiter had given us the bill beforehand, we could have pointed this out immediately. As a result, we had to pay 18,80 euros more. My advice is to make sure that your waiter(s) do give the bill to customers beforehand to prevent this because this can become quite a large sum if people are not aware of this at that moment. Despite our complaint, we still had a good time and will return here. Due to the complaint described above, I did subtract 2 stars from the 5. ============== OLDER REVIEW ============== It was the first time I visited the city centre of Brussels and we decided to ate here for diner. I ordered the hamburger and must say that I really liked it. The taste was good, it wasn't too hot so you could eat it right away and it was baked well and was served nicely. The fries itself where very tasty as well just as the salads that where both served with it. The service was great. We asked for a table for 5 people and got helped right away and the people where friendly. The only drawback I found was that it was quite warm in the building (that is the reason for 4 stars for the atmosphere). In the end we had a good experience here so this restaurant will definitely be on our list for future visits.

Came here for a drink and felt like we weren't overly welcome due to how rude the waiter was. As we came in, we were left for a bit confused if we were meant to take a seat anywhere or if we'd be shown to the table. We were eventually shown to the table, but it seemed this annoyed the waiter as he threw the menu down on the table, pointed at it, and walked off. We were then left for around 15 to 20 minutes trying to get the waiters' attention to order. When he finally came over, I tried to order in French, my French isn't the best, but I can get by. The waiter seemed to be annoyed that I wasn't fluent French speaking and was rude when speaking to us. We were then served the drinks around 10 minutes after ordering. We stayed for one drink and left due to the rudeness we'd encountered. During the drinks, I was looking through the menu at all they had on offer and thought I'd take some pics to upload to here. Whilst doing so, the waiter came past and snatched it off me, again leaving me feel quite unwelcome. The building is really interesting and so I'd recommend coming here to see that. They also have quite the range of food and drinks (my step daughters loved the hot chocolate!), although they are on the pricier side, but given the location and how interesting the building is, the cost is understandable. The way we were treated really left a negative impression, and for that reason, I wouldn't recommend coming here.

A curiously named place that bears no relationship to its name. Well it's near the Opera House, but no drugs... Great decor inside. Spread over several floors so plenty of space. Good menu range, pizza, pasta, burger and so more local dishes. Good drinks range for the usual Belgian beers and spirits. Visited twice as first experience was good, got fed up wandering from venue to venue on second night and decided to return. First night shared prawn croquettes starter (and again day 2). These are perhaps pricey. But are so across Belgium (we also had in Bruges). Then Belgian stew and chips. (No veg in stew, but now appreciate there is no veg in Belgian stew). Great amount of meat, beautifully cooked. Smoked salmon tagliatelle had more salmon than the reasonable price warranted. Masses of it. Both meals great. Pizza day 2. Both great, well cooked. Tasty. And finished with creme brulee. This being the only item to have let them down. Pud itself was warm and glaze burnt. Had we not been reserved English we could have complained I'm sure and no doubt replacement would have been sourced. Both nights bill to include drinks, starter and pud came in around 40 Euro each (late 2022) 2023 edit, Creme Brulé is off the menu. Boo. Vol au vent not the best, but large and tasty. But 5 visited with main course and drink and less than 90 euro.

Tourist don’t come please Services here was really horrible… The arrival welcome was rather friendly, the lady will greet you and lead you to the seat. However, the ordering stuff are so impolite and I feel disappointed! They are mean to me when asking what will I want to drink, and even try to collect my plates twice when I haven’t done. When he collected the plates for the mussles, i wanted to have my fries and fork stay. But it was too late to talk about it when he already took my fork. So I asked him to give me another one, instead he just gave me back the fork that already soak in the mussle pot. Ended up I used a tissue to wrap it to use. Food wise, the fries were terrible as well, cold and way too soft. You can find something better even in fast food restaurant like McDonald’s. The mussles were average but I think there is somewhere better than this I’m sure. I’m utterly disappointed for this experience and I am pretty sure it’s because im a tourist and travelling alone probably. Since I have seen them smile like hell to other customers and even bowl and shake hand to them, but for other single traveller, they just being rude and indifferent. I feel like they just want me to pay the money and finish the food asap and leave. All in all, I don’t recommend it to tourist
