Brasserie de l'Expo — Restaurant in Brussels

I used to be a regular diner there. However... the place is falling apart. The service is a real problem: just not welcoming. You have to beg for bread, waiting 3/4 of an hour for a cold starter, waiter just not "wanting" to see you, dirty dishes standing in front of you for ages and I can keep going on... After a first disappointment I went back 3 days later and yes... the problems are "integrated" in the house. I think there is a new owner who is not present or has no idea of how to run a brasserie. The waiters do not smile, do not talk besides the absolute minimum and one waiter in particular could and would not hide how he dislikes his job. Second time, the french fries were on the verge of cold when served. A restaurant that normally is packed to its max on sundays was half empty. Their reputation is going down... and it will not be long before we loose a once great address... Such a shame... PS the recommended dish is the only option I get from google and they do not serve that ... Recommended: the duo of croquettes...

Fawlty towers? To start with the food was good. At least the food I did get…. But to start. Entered. No staff around. 5 minutes later a person was visible. Not sure if it was the chef or a waiter. Got my table. Ordered a glass of cava, terrine de foie gras, duck leg and red wine. And in came the red wine. No sight of the cava. But ok -37,5 cl of wine is enough. And then came the ….. not the terrine de foie gras but the duck. I protested and the waiter just “no no no”. I gave up and enjoyed the duck which was perfect. And then a coffee and a cognac - and the amount of cognac was a lot. An excuse? Maybe? And then the bill - had to ask for it 2 times. So - no....

Nous nous sommes rendu ce vendredi soir pour manger à la brasserie de l expo Premièrement: nous avons tourner plus de 30 minutes pour trouver de la place pour se garer Ensuite nous sommes entrer dans le restaurant un chef de rang nous as saluer et nous as demander d attendre quelque instant que le responsable allais nous placer Nous avons.s attendu 2 minute et saluer unautre client qui étais une connaissance Le responsable le ne nous as ni saluer ni installer heureusement que le chef de rang nous as dis que l on pouvais s asseoir Nous avons commander la côte à l os (qui étais bonne mais sans plus ) et lus avons commander celle ci en 2 cuisson différentes (bleu et saignant) ce que nous faisons dans beaucoup d endroit ... La cuisine a poser une question au chef de rang et celui ci est venu nous demander pour la cuisson . Le responsable ayant entendu ce que je disait et c est permis de faire un commentaire
