Costa d'Amalfi — Restaurant in Brussels

I went there with a couple of friends, as one of them wanted wanted to show us "her latest discovery" (the restaurant opened recently). I often eat Italian food. On one hand as I really find it tasty - and on the other hand as Italian food (no matter in which part of the world you are) always tastes decent. So I expected just another Italian restaurant serving Pizza and Pasta, and didn't mind joining my friend. I was very happy to be wrong with my expectations. The food served reminded me of the holidays I spent in Italy and the food I ate there as I had the feeling of eating authentic Italian food. I really enjoyed my Spaghetti alle vongole (al dente!). As desert I had the Tiramisu (a decent portion), but I envied my friend who chose the Panna Cotta which was delicious. The service was friendly and fast. Prices are not cheap, but you definitely get...

I had one of the day's suggestions, which was ravioli with truffle, sage and butter and it was amazing. The flavours were subtle and delicate, which is what I expect from this kind of dish (unlike some restaurants where as soon as there's truffle involved, the taste is way overpowering). I asked what wine they suggested with it and they paired it with a very nice Syrah.

We had one tiramisu for the three of us and it was also very good. It was surprisingly airy and light, so we almost regretted taking only one because we thought it would be a bit too heavy for the room we had left.

Je me suis rendue à ce restaurant avec mon compagnon le jour de la saint Valentin. Je tiens à préciser que nous avions réservé à l’avance pour cet événement. Au début tout se passe bien nous arrivons, nous sommes bien accueilli. Nous prenons notre commande et puis nous patientons. Les minutes tournent et nous sommes toujours pas servi. En effet on nous avait oublié. Lorsque nous avions fait la remarque au serveur celui-ci nous dit qu’ils ont oublié notre commande mais que le problème sera réglé. Il revient ensuite vers nous en nous disant que nous ne pourrons pas avoir ce que nous souhaitons car les cuisines ferment mais que nous aurions un autre plat à la place… Mon compagnon d’adresse alors au patron qui nous dit qu’il va arranger la situation et nous préparer notre commande. On patiente de nouveau et celui ci nous apporte une salade qu’on a pas demandé, nous nous sommes dit que c’était un geste… Ensuite nous recevons la mauvaise commande alors qu’il nous avait promis de rétablir la situation. Nous mangeons donc un repas non voulu alors qu’on a attendu 2h le jour de la saint Valentin, pas le choix car trop tard pour changer d’adresse. A la fin le patron nous fait pas de geste commercial et voulait juste nous offrir la salade QUE NOUS AVIONS PAS DEMANDÉ. Nous réclamons alors les desserts gratuits ainsi que la salade. Celui-ci n’était pas content mais à mon sens aurait dû de lui même offrir le repas. A fuir, personnel malhonnête. Ps: nourriture bonne malgré tout au moins une étoile pour cette expérience, de plus je n’attends pas un retour de votre part, il faut savoir accepter les avis négatifs pour s’améliorer...
