The place and atmosphere are nice, but acoustics are really bad. The food is acceptable. However it's not worth the high prices at all. Their star dish, pasta carbonara, is not good at all. Too much egg yellow, not enough Pecorino or Parmigiano mixed with it. You couldn't even taste it... I don't think the meat was guanciale, but just some Italian bacon meat that was way too salty. The pasta amatriciana, was better but same problem with the meat and again, the cheese was almost nowhere to be seen. The restaurant tries to be and deliver a high-end experience like french restaurants, but they fail dramatically in it. You get the food in some pans that are not even stable enough on the table, so you need to hold them in order not to make a mess. You get just grissini at the beginning with nothing else. Not even olive oil to dip them and have something else than just a dry breadstick... The prices are just way too high for the food quality and experience the restaurant and staff deliver. There are way better options in Brussels for high-quality...
Read moreHad to give a star but wouldn’t give any,Terrible evening! The place was run down and cold no one to great us! We sat at the cold bar where the maitre d spent all evening chatting up two ladies who left saying they were tired( after his boring forced chat) The starter bruschetta was burned toast with burrata and cut up small tomatoes 🍅 that’s it!! Carbonara horrid way to all dente uncooked and cold, too much greasy pancetta not anything special pretty horrid! not an inch of green or a spec of green in sight all beige and gross I was cold and was badly sat. Was embarrassed I had taken my old boss there the prices made me cringe 😬 36 euros for a horrid carbonara he had the cacio y Pepe that was also a joke!!! How can you mess that up! All laked cheese and taste. Run don’t even go there I think this is the worst restaurant I have...
Read moreExtremely expensive for mediocre Italian food. Their succesful marketing strategy, which gives them the aura of being a next level culinary osteria, is not reflected at all in the quality of the food. Somehow newspapers have claimed this to be the best Carbonara in Brussels (and beyond?), but this is far from reality. The prices however do reflect this aura. Lastly, the service does not at all compensate the lower quality food. It is really unpleasant, being tucked away in a small room with one table where you're always forgotten and when waiters are annoyed if you call them to order anything. There are many much better Italian places to try in Brussels, so I would recommend to steer clear...
