Les Templiers de Charleroi — Restaurant in Charleroi

My Belgian friends have brought me here and it was beyond one of the nicest experiences. Cosy, family-like pub atmosphere, attentive and friendly staff and exceptionally delicious food. We had it all - tartare, steak, cannelloni, chicken and of course loads of belgian fries . Everything delicious especially the tartare and the crispy fries. It's a pity I have to return to Spain otherwise it would definitely become my top place nearby to enjoy a meal with family and friends. Cheers...

A very nice bar with a variety of draft beers, as well as bottled beers. The food is hearty and simple, but excellent. There are a variety of typical Belgian dishes to choose from. I had the patties in geuse (a sour beer) sauce and they turned out to be huge and absolutely delicious. My mother had the endives with a cheese bechamel sauce, which were outstanding as well. Ter gelegenheid van de wereldtentoonstelling heeft brouwerij Diekirch in het hart van de bovenstad van Charlerloi , tegenover het stadhuis , een monument opgericht dat al meer dan 50 jaar trouw is gebleven aan zichzelf.

Met zijn origineel houtwerk , zijn antieke kroonluchters , zijn rustieke tafels en stoelen , zijn oude toeristische posters is het Relais Les Templiers een authentieke taverne in middeleeuwse stijl.

Het etablisement kreeg het label " Terroir Bistrot " . Dit label werd in 2010 opgericht door de huidige minister van toerisme en heeft als doel het imago van de horecasector te herstellen en brouwerijen te betrekken bij de toeristische en sociaal-economische ontwikkeling van Wallonië.
