Mains: meat for me, fish for my partner (very dry meat, with an ok pepper sauce. the fish was nothing special, a fried solenette. Both dishes with exactly the same salad of the starters. And french fries also as a side). No desserts included. Drinks not included in the Menu and totally overpriced ( 20cl zero coke: 3€. And a 1/2l bottle of still water: 6€ !!!!!!!!!) Coffee was included but badly made. 78€ for such a poor experience. Shameless stealing from tourists that visit Damme, which is a beautiful town, by the way.

Un sitio considerablemente caro. Nos han hecho esperar un poco y a pesar de que el menú pueda parecer caro, después pides cosas por separado y al final acabas pagando más. Yo he probado las croquetas y el Wok (adjunto foto) y la verdad es que tanto las croquetas como el wok me han encantado. Además el wok es un buen plato que solo con él ya te llenas. El restaurante por dentro ha parecido increíblemente bonito y estaba muy bien localizado. El restaurante sigue la filosofía del pueblo: la gente es muy tranquila y no van con prisas.

Wat een verrassing in Damme: De Spieghel. Met goede vrienden een weekend Brugge en Damme gehad met op Zaterdag een diner in dit etablissement. Wat een prachtig oud gebouw , wat een sfeer, en klassieke gerechten zoals de steak tartaar die mijn vrouw en ik als voorgerecht deelde. Totaal geen probleem , ik wilde namelijk met mijn vriend de Cote a l'os die perfect medium werd bereid als hoofdgerecht.

Als extra wens hadden we enkele dagen tevoren gevraagd of het mogelijk was een kaas dessert te serveren. We werden verrast met prachtige lokale kazen. Dit mag wat ons betreft zo op de menu kaart. Enige minpuntje was de bearnaise saus die ik persoonlijk iets te wrang vond . Daar word aan gewerkt vertelde de zeer vriendelijke gastvrouw An .

Wij hebben een zeer geslaagde avond gehad en ook de wijn die Patron Robert bij de Cote a l'os aanbevolen had , was een fantastische keuze.

Wij gaan hier zeker nog een keer terug komen om de paling uit te proberen.

Tot die tijd wensen wij Robert en An met hun personeel veel succes toe en klandizie in hun prachtige zaak die zeker een aanwinst is voor Damme.

I whas truly disappointed we had the fish fillet and wok , the wok whas to sweat and the butter on the fish whas burnt. Not to mention there wasn't enough staff and we had to wait at leat 50min for our food whas served. It used to have such good food , I do hope they change...
