La Terrasse — Restaurant in Etterbeek

Been coming to the Terrasse for 10 years. great location and always good for a reasonable night out or drink. Since they put the out side house in the garden you get a bit more capacity; both in and outside can get too noisy on busy nights to have a decent conversation. Our last visit though was a disappointment. Getting a Caesar Salad for 16.60 was way underwhelming handful of salad out of the box Parmesan shavings n thinly sliced chicken... Cost to value was poor; i needed to go eat again somewhere else; we also got Fish n Chips 16.90 .. again it used to be a big portion of fish and loads of chips... now two small fillets and a hand full of frit. Therefore for a personal Dinner out for a date or the family this is not good value for money anymore... really a disappointment. will be back... just...

They don’t like to turn on the heat for lunch in the winter, just a few heaters were turned on even after we complained about it. The service was a bit too slow specially for the drinks before the meal. I had the traditional steak, it was good but I asked it rare and I got it medium rare. The pepper sauce was good in quality and quantity. Nice staff.

To the owner after his reply: We did complain to the staff about the heating they said ok but no action was taken. If the steak was undercooked I would have complained, but since it was overcooked regarding my order and it already took a long time I’m sure you understand I don’t have a 2h lunch break. The waiter has such a bad attitude, very unprofessional. absolutely not recommend this place. It was my birthday and my friends brought a birthday cake as surprise. We asked for a plate and the waiter told us in the most rudely way that this is not acceptable (to bring a cake) since the restaurant has desserts. Of course he never brought any plate. We tried to explain that it was just for the surprise but he was refusing to listen and continue talking impolitely. Later on, we asked what time they’re closing and he replied “now. it’s midnight. We want to go home”. He would have kicked us out if he could. I was never treated like that in any other...
