In Bocca 'Lupo — Restaurant in Ghent

I seek out the best pasta restaurants around the world. I Read the reviews and was super excited to try this restaurant. They told us they were fully booked for 2 days and could only give us a table by the window.

The food was very disappointing. Both pasta dishes had very little flavour and loaded with Parmesan cheese to give it them some life. It’s very rare that I don’t finish my food but these were not good. Perhaps it’s just the dishes we tried but it feels the standard is very low here. Shame and confused as to what the hype is about. 25-30 euros for pasta dish of this quality...

Must be one of the BEST pasta restaurants I’ve been to ever (including in Italy), 100% recommend. Top class Italian using real ingredients with a touch of creativity that makes them stand out from Italian restaurants that purely rely on quality ingredients.

Service was also on point - professional, friendly, helpful. Lovely interior too. Great wine. TOP recommend for Ghent. Only potential improvement is portions of olive oil could have been more generous. But who can afford good olive oil these days anyway in the life-giving...

Very tasty food and cozy place. My wife ordered a linguine pasta with shrimp and mussels, and it was delicious. I ordered a pasta with Calabrese pepper and Buffalo cheese, which was very good but a little too spicy for me (although they were warning it in the menu with the clear word PIKANT). The dessert was great as well. We had Panna cotta and tiramisu, both were delicious 😋
