Located on Leie River, Ghent, Belgium 🇧🇪. Korenlei, along with Graslei, are a beautiful and lively part of Ghent. They are situated on the Leie River in Ghent in the historic centre of town. They are a lovely place to take a walk, enjoy some delicious food and drinks or take a canal boat tour. It’s very popular with both locals and tourists so can get very crowded. Situated in the heart of Ghent City, Korenlei and Graslei are fantastic for people to go and have a great night out with friends and family. It’s one of Ghents primary social hubs. The quays are lined with numerous waterfront taverns, cafes and restaurants, these are nestled amongst the cobblestone, beautiful historic facades and old buildings. Korenlei and Graslei were originally a trading place for grains, and was also part of the port in ancient times. Now, a large number of tourists and locals visit to enjoy the scenic beauty and many outdoor cafes and restaurants or just relax near the gorgeous waterfront and admire the beautiful Flemish buildings. There are tour guides that you can hire but we decided to just make our own way. This way we’re were able to take our time, eat at a couple of the cafes.
