We had takeaway order. At first we wanted to sit inside, but there wasn’t so much place. It’s fine, but another thing is that it would cost about 2 more euros for dine in. I do understand why, but for me it’s still pretty pricy. The desserts were also quite expensive. They looked excellent so I thought it was worth it. In fact I’d rate it like average dessert. Pecan one was too sweet, the one with apple was a bit bitter but I don’t understand why. The service didn’t look kind either, but it was the end of the day so it can be. Joost Arijs is by far the best dessert or cake shop in Ghent and one of the best in all of Belgium. They serve Macarons, artisanal cakes and mini cakes as well as chocolates. While their chocolates are tasty, they are not what Joost Arijs should stand out for since you can find just as good ones or better ones in other chololateries in Ghent.
