You think you are getting Indian food but you are not. And if you are Indian you will not be treated well by the server and the owner (did not seem like the owner) both of whom are absolutely arrogant. Food was not great with gravy being mixed from different dishes to maintain quantity. Noting wrong with that, until you do not eat a type of food and the gravy comes from that dish into yours. Also adding potatoes into a non-vegetarian dish is a strict no-no, about which we complained, asking to at least mention it on the menu so that customer knows and does not order it. The server was very rude when this was pointed out and later the owner came and surprised us by asking loudly, what was our problem. Yes, you read it right. He asked what was our problem instead of checking if there was some problem with the served food. So we had to point him out how nicely the server has been speaking to the local customers and is being rude to us. And also we had to point out his negative approach. And since we were visibly upset and became vocal about it, owner started playing the being fellow Indian card, how it had been a long day for the server, how they switched to Hindi songs from Punjabi songs for us. He offered chocolates while leaving, but the damage is already done. Overall extremely Poor experience. I will just Never recommend anyone to go there. They proved themselves to be...
Read moreWhere do i begin? I remember the first visit with my kids that went perfectly. Apparently you didn't forget us this time, of course you can't when a customer leaves that much money behind. Today my and my daughter came back to enjoy it again, but unfortunately the experience today shocked us. When a client orders a new drink, you should know to give them a new glass. It is also interesting to see the other reviews talking about how you treat your indian customers, like we saw today. The indian mother and her little boy were seated at the table with an arrogant attitude telling them they should call beforehand for a reservation, and that they had to eat quickly before the other customers would arrive. Halfway through their meal, the mother took her boy to the restroom only to return with her food packed in a box. When she asked why the owner simply replied: "well you can still eat out of it". I thought this had nothing to do with racism but the other reviews prove otherwise. What happened that made the owner so hostile towards his own kind?
As a professional journalist i think the only justified thing to do is to leave and spread an honest review. You lost 4 customers and...
Read moreWe went to Taste of India this evening with friends. A total disappointment with food as well as the owner. He seemed to be arrogant and neglecting " Indian customers". There was no" Indian hospitality " vibe with this restaurant. The owner and the person serving were both rude with us. We had ordered Lamb korma, chicken tikka masala and Butter chicken with Garlic naans. The food looked delicious but the lamb curry had some fruits pieces and in the chicken curry ..the chicken had food colour and it tasted as if its prepared in the fish gravy. Actually food colour is banned in Belgium. Only the naan and the ambience of the restaurant was good. On telling the owner about this, he was not ready to accept and he had a very rude attitude. When we told him that he had a very pleasing approach to the " non- indians" he suddenly started behaving good with us but we felt it was weird ! Firstly " Indians " will not behave in such a way with their customers. We felt his approach towards us was very arrogant. We wanted to have a good time with friends with good food. But this decision of having dinner in " The Taste of India " was totally...
