tikka N talk — Restaurant in Hasselt

I recommend this place for everyone who likes Indian food.

When we came in, the employee welcomed us in, and he was really friendly. The customer service was absolutely fantastic 👌.

Now the most important part is "the food". I ordered chicken tikka masala and was delicious. I ordered a spicy chicken tikka masala, and it was decently spicy ( i do eat really spicy ). My friend ordered the mild version, and they said it was not spicy. The butter chicken was pretty sweet but still delicious 😋 (mild). I also tried the spicy butter chicken, and i personally liked it more.

If it is still too spicy, they even asked us to lessen the spice.

the food is actually good in terms of taste and presentation. However, the portion is so small for the price they are charging. The ambient was nice and the staff are friendly. But I felt overcharged even on a social deal voucher. For an example : the non vegetarian platter costs 18.5euro where it should not cost more than 10 looking at the mediocre portion. I advise the owner to really review his prices, use a better font in his menu and give more portion atleast for...

Ik geef twee sterren omdat het eten lekker was. Al de rest was een ramp.

De ontvangst was haastig en niet vriendelijk. De menu’s werden bijna op ons tafel gegooid en dan hebben we lang moeten wachten vooraleer we bediend werden.

De zaak op zich was vuil en onverzorgd (net als de wc die bleef lopen en ik kon niet doortrekken). En ik vrees dat de zaak geen verwarming heeft. Het was er om te bevriezen dus ik raad aan om pikant eten te nemen dan krijg je warm.

Er waren een aantal zaken, die we wilden bestellen, niet.

Om eten af te halen… misschien. Het is erg prijzig en je krijgt een hele kleine portie! Ik heb toevallig een aantal dagen ervoor nog Indisch gegeten bij mijn thuis in de buurt en de prijzen waren een pak lager en de porties sowieso het dubbel van deze zaak dus als je kan, bestel ergens anders.

Sidenote: ik denk dat de zaakvoerder alles alleen deed (koken en bediening) maar dat zou het probleem van de klanten...
