Today, I had the pleasure of revisiting my favorite hotpot restaurant in Belgium or Europe, Chez Monsieur Yang Hot Pot.
Choosing to dine at this hot pot restaurant in Belgium has become an essential ritual for me. This time, with our 9-month-old baby in tow, the staff thoughtfully provided a baby chair and arranged a spacious seating area for us.
The menu continues to impress with its freshness, variety, and reasonable prices, delivering an authentic and flavorful experience. The spicy beef and shrimp balls are consistently my preferred choices. This time, we indulged in a dual-flavored hot pot with spicy beef oil and chicken broth bases. The staff attentively inquired about the spice level for the spicy beef oil pot, and the chicken broth exhibited a rich taste without being overly mild. I've always appreciated the diverse range of condiments here, people from any region can find their favorites. We choosed for traditional oil and dry plates, and they complemented the dishes perfectly. The fresh and delectable vegetables, paired with the crispy meat, were genuinely delightful that's surpassing the offerings of many chain hot pot restaurants in China and reflecting the owner's dedicated efforts. For beverages, we opted for White Rabbit milk tea and peach jelly fruit tea, both presenting a smooth and exquisite taste that complemented the hot pot impeccably.
Of note is the easy parking at street. Arriving at 6:30 PM, we easily found a parking spot. I recommend reaching out to the restaurant beforehand to secure a reservation, as exceptional hot pot restaurant tend to be in high demand.
This visit, with our family of three, was a thoroughly enjoyable culinary experience, leaving us eagerly anticipating our next visit. Without a doubt, this restaurant merits a special stop in Brussels. You won't regret choosing...
Read moreWe had a great evening and overall experience. Staff: The waitress/kitchen staff/owner/etc were all super nice, helpful and there was a great vibe going on between them. They came up to us when we were ready to leave to ask us if everything went well and explain a bit more about how most products are imported from China and are authentic dishes. A big thank you to the waitress. From the second we arrived she greeted us with a smile and took really good care of us all evening. (Also for the English speakers: they speak English as well) Food: the food was good, fresh and because you have the possibility to pick and choose what you want, you can adjust it to your taste. They came by from time to time to ask if the taste was to our liking or if we wanted it more spicy and such. Price: I think the price to quality and quantity ratio is good! Interior: the dining area is really cosy and it feels spacious because you already have a big table and they can bring a little side table to put on extra side dishes so you can eat comfortably. Everything was super clean (Bathrooms as well!).
TLDR: Overall great experience! We had a great evening with yummy food, nice vibes, and a cosy and clean interior. Looking forward...
Read moreTOTALLY OVERPRICED, 5€ for 1 cup of tea with 3 leaves inside!!( the owner claims that she buys a packet of jasmine tea for 100€( doubt, doubt, doubt) 7€ for a disgusting bubble tea! You have even to pay for the sauces!!Don't belive when she says that the sauces are handmade( i doubt she makes the chili flakes, that you can buy in the supermarket, herself) Okra is frozen, portions are so small that i felt scammed!! !!!!!!!!AVOID THIS PLACE!!!!!!!!!!!! Don't belive when they say it's quality blablabla, meat is the frozen one that you can buy from the asian supermarket I highly doubt that the vegetables from this place are "BIO" as the owner claims, why someone should sell Bio and not even put it in the menu? There is no reason why the okra is frozen and the rest not, 80% of the products served here are bought, they remove it from the package and sell it, TOTALLY NOT HANDMADE. The owners answers to other reviews are totally ridiculous, in her Wechat page jokes about people spending little money in her restaurant... i feel pity for such unprofessional behavior and attitude when someone complains...
