Entering Mili feels like stepping into a culinary paradise, hidden within the heart of Brussels. This Sichuan treasure is an absolute gem, offering an unparalleled dining experience that leaves an indelible mark on your taste buds. Our visit to Mili was nothing short of extraordinary, from the warm, inviting atmosphere to the impeccable service that made us feel right at home.We embarked on a gastronomic journey, starting with the chicken dumplings, which were delicately crafted, steaming with flavors that are both comforting and exhilarating. The fried chicken with lemon was a masterclass in balance, offering a crispy exterior that gave way to succulent meat, with the lemon adding a bright, zesty kick that elevated the dish to new heights. The beef in chili oil was a revelation, beautifully cooked beef swimming in a rich, spicy sauce that was both fiery and fragrant, leaving a lingering warmth with each bite. Equally impressive was the chicken with vegetables, a dish that showcased the freshness of the ingredients, each element perfectly cooked to retain its texture and flavor. The fried oyster mushrooms were a standout, offering a crispy, golden exterior that enveloped the tender, earthy flavors of the mushrooms, creating a dish that was deeply satisfying. And the mixed fried rice was the perfect companion to our meal, a flavorful medley that tied all the dishes together. What sets Mili apart is not just the quality of the food but the authenticity and passion that shine through in each dish. The flavors are bold and spicy, yet not overwhelming, allowing the natural tastes to come through, creating a dining experience that is both delightful and memorable.Mili is, without a doubt, our favorite restaurant in Brussels and, arguably, the best Chinese and Sichuan restaurant in all of Belgium. It's a place where every visit feels like a celebration of flavors, and we cannot wait to return and discover more culinary delights. For anyone in search of an authentic, flavorful, and exhilarating dining experience, Mili is a must-visit. Truly, a beacon of Sichuan cuisine...
Read moreI'm Asian and I wholly approve of this place.
I had the pleasure of dining at Mili restaurant in Elsene recently, and it was truly a remarkable experience. The menu offered a delightful selection of Chinese dishes, and I couldn't resist trying the Mapo Tofu, Szechuan Crayfish, and chicken dumplings.
The taste of the food was undeniably authentic and packed with flavor. The Mapo Tofu had that perfect balance of spiciness and umami that I like in Szechuan cuisine. The Szechuan Crayfish was a revelation, with the right amount of heat and an explosion of flavors in every bite. The chicken dumplings were tender and flavorful, a testament to the skill of the chefs.
The overall dining experience was great. The ambiance of the restaurant, coupled with the attentive and friendly staff, made the evening truly enjoyable. What set Mili apart was the exceptional service. The staff went out of their way to ensure that my dining experience was impeccable, making thoughtful recommendations and catering to my needs. It's rare to encounter such dedicated service while dining in Brussels, and it made my visit memorable.
Without a doubt, Mili restaurant deserves a 5 out of 5 rating. I will definitely return to savor more of their delicious dishes. If you're looking for an authentic and tasty Chinese dining experience in Brussels, Mili should be at the top...
Read moreThe food used to be out of this world, and the man who owned it before cooked up magic. But the restaurant has had new owners for the last couple of years. And I am so sad, because the food was disappointing the few times I've been since the takeover. Unfortunately, this last time will be the last.
The server was adorable, patient and friendly. She did her best.
Took a while for the food, which is fine because it was busy. One of us ordered fried rice with beef and there was hardly any meat mixed into the rice, which was a stodgy mess. My eggplant dish was very acidic and otherwise kind of bland. The sauteed noodles were okay. But alll the portions were small given the price.
Place is slightly disorganised, or at least not as organised as they could be. We paid the bill and had to wait ages for the VAT receipt, brcause for some reason only one person could do it. My husband had to leave first with my young daughter who was getting cranky while I stayed behind to wait. I totally understand that it was a busy evening, but the place has been in business for a while. So, they should be on top of small things like that so service can run...
