Il Trionfo 🇮🇹 — Restaurant in Knokke-Heist

The ambiance and cuisine at this establishment are fantastic. With a menu entirely devoted to Italian classics, it's a haven for those craving authentic flavors. Service was great, and we liked the selection of wines.

Opting for the lunch menu, priced at 45 € per person, we found it to be an incredible value for menu for three exquisite dishes (check out the photos). However, it's worth noting that our oversight led to a slightly higher bill, mainly due to the pricey drinks. With the cheapest red wine by the glass ringing in at 14 €, our tab crept closer to 200 €, despite only indulging in a few glasses. Yet, we acknowledge that our lack of attention to the menu's pricing is entirely on us, and it doesn't reflect negatively on the restaurant itself.

Impressive dining experience at this restaurant! The welcome without a reservation set a positive tone. homemade pasta with pesto and truffle risotto and ravioli were all fresh,light and delicious. calamari fries were fresh and delicious, and the carpaccio was a delightful treat. Expérience extrêmement décevante chez Il Trionfo. Le cadre laissait espérer une soirée agréable, mais tant le service que la cuisine ont été d’une médiocrité affligeante. À l’exception du chef de salle, le reste du personnel, visiblement composé de membres de la famille (femme, enfants), donnait l’impression d’être en fin de saison : fatigué, peu attentionné, mécanique (uniquement là pour vous débarrasser dès que l’assiette est vide et vous tendre la machine à payer sans un mot).

Les plats, quant à eux, étaient corrects. Les produits sont de qualité ca oui, mais gâchés par des erreurs de composition de cuisson, un assaisonnement approximatif et un manque d’authenticité flagrant. Rien qui justifie les tarifs pratiqués.

C’était peut-être un mauvais soir. Mais comme on dit, il suffit parfois d’une seule mauvaise expérience. Je retenterai une seconde fois pour en avoir le cœur net, et ajusterai ce commentaire en conséquence. En attendant, j’invite sincèrement l’établissement à relever son niveau, tant en salle...
