Had a great lunch at Barba’s. This restaurant combines the informality of a brasserie with fine dining. The cuisine is very creative and uses a lot of seasonal vegetables. All plates are very well dressed and create good photo opportunities. 😊 The restaurant is located in a small terraced house which makes there’s not much room between the tables. This place offers a tremendously good value lunch menu. No wonder it gets crowded around lunch time. Reservations are in order here. Do avoid the two high tables in the front with uncomfortable chairs. Staff are very helpful and there is a wine list with some nice southern Burgundy wines.

Fantastische ervaring hier gehad. Had gezocht en zag de goeie beoordelingen van toch redelijk veel mensen, het is gewoon 5 op 5 waard. We kwamen binnen en het interieur is tip top, zeer mooi gedaan en nodigt uit om te komen eten. We werden direct ontvangen en de jassen werden door de obers opgehangen, zeer professioneel. Eenmaal dat je gaat zitten, zie je dat je veel plaats hebt en dat er veel ruimte tussen de tafels is, je hebt dus privacy van de anderen tafels, zou je niet verwachten in een kleiner restaurant. De bediening was ook top, zeer snel en zeer vriendelijk en professioneel. Ze leggen je alles uit en zijn zeer beleefd. Als je vragen hebt over het gerecht, leggen ze het uit. Ze vragen ook achter allergenen en allergieën of er naar gekeken moet worden, zeer sterk. Bij het serveren van het eten, leggen ze je uit wat op je bord ligt. Het eten zelf is perfect. Gewoon puur en zeer verse producten. De gerechten zijn kleiner, maar er steekt zeer veel werk in voor deze te maken. Zeer mooie presentatie en de smaken passen perfect! Je hebt zeker genoeg gegeten als je een menu hebt genomen. Het is gewoon zo lekker en vers. Snap de iets mindere reviews dus niet. Zeggen dat het te duur is, toont aan dat je niet weet wat het kost om verse producten te serveren, deze borden te maken en de professionele bediening te betalen. Dit is niet een brasserie met simpele steak met frieten, wat ook goed is, maar waar de prijs vele lager is door de simpele bereiding. Naar hier komen betekent lekker gaan eten en niet goedkoop. Moet je daarna niet zeggen het is te duur, dan weet je niks over de horeca. Om deze review af te sluiten. Wil je een zalige ervaring, kom naar hier. Geschikt voor een goeie date!

Great food and great service. It’s a nice place where you have a good time with your loved ones or celebrate a special day. My boyfriend and I left very happy. We both got a 4 course menu and each dish was super delicious (don’t worry about the portion size because they’re very filling). Our waiter Gwenn was very helpful and friendly, he took the time to explain every dish and he made us feel home and comfortable. We will definitely come back.

Giving 3 stars as "encouragement". The staff is great ! Very well trained. The wine selection is not bad, but could be better. My main complaint would be about the menu. It did not "have a soul". What is the purpose of that menu ? What is the chef trying to achieve ? It was all delicious, but "too much", as if it was trying to just deliver the most flavor possible achievable, but without a particular reason. Why mix a carpaccio of scallops, with iberico lardons and tempura of pakchoi ? Asking honestly...what is the reason to merge these flavors ? what is the purpose ? Great menus tell a story, this one made me feel it wanted to confuse me with flavors. As a negative practical side, too much flavor ended up giving me a hard time at night with thirst. Can...

Sheer PERFECTION! I have loved this restaurant from the moment it opened. The food is amazing: the look, the taste, the experience. The cocktails, the wine, just divine! The staff is always welcoming. My kid (6 years old) literally craves coming here, and the service is immaculate. I'm no hero with food, but I dare to taste everything on the menu, all the time. In fact I want to try everything! My advise to everyone: go for the experience, have an amazing cocktail and try something that you have never had. The menu is a bargain and anyways a pleasure!
