De Hoorn Bar & Resto — Restaurant in Leuven

I wish there was -5stars. I am an avid traveler, and this was the most raciest and ruddest service in the world. There were four waiters in their 20s and every single one of them were horrible. It was not just to us, but to any foreigners in the restaurant. They were very polite to local people. Made fun of a customer ordering a dish named in Dutch. Another customer came in(because they never come to your table to check on you) to ask why their soup is not warm at all, and waiters responded "those soups are not good whem hot". As soon as that customer went back to the table, all 4 waiters again start voicing the customer's phrase and laughed at it to make fun of. Another customer (also different race/foreigners) was waiting forever for the check. We saw them trying to flag the waiters down for so long (waiters were not busy, just chit chatting at the bar), and finally had to come in to tab out. We got charged for a food that was not even served, where they refused to give our itemized receipt of our order. It is unfortunate that this place somewhat represents Leuven and Stella Artois. They should have a sign 'Locals only' if they want to have different service depending on the race and the...

To start, food was mostly good! The only disappointing dishes at our table were the hummus, nachos and fries (that come with the entrecote or burger). The monkfish was good, the entrecote as well. Now the most disappointing part was that on the menu it is written that for groups of 8+, you are only limited to 4 different main dishes (out of 8 or 9 but burgers count at 1). But then the waiter told us it was 3 dishes only. When you have 10 people, and only one vegetarians then the vegetarian will almost always have to choose the burger hence not...

We vinden De Hoorn normaal gesproken leuk. We komen hier vaak en genieten ervan. Maar vandaag was onze ervaring teleurstellend en niet zoals we gewend zijn… We hebben een biertje en een Franse koffie besteld via het online bestelsysteem. We hebben in de opmerkingen geschreven dat we melkschuim in plaats van slagroom in de Franse koffie wilden. We kregen de koffie met slagroom, en toen we de barman daarover informeerden, was hij geïrriteerd en vroeg boos of hij het moest veranderen. Naast het feit dat hij de slagroom er gewoon uit haalde en gewone melk inschonk zonder op te schuimen, was de koffie ook nog eens met amaretto gemaakt in plaats van cognac. We hebben hem ervan op de hoogte gesteld en hij weigerde ons te geloven, ook al zijn beide dranksoorten heel verschillend van mekaar en heel makkelijk te onderscheiden. We vroegen hem beleefd om het zelf te controleren, je rook de amaretto heel sterk, maar hij wilde niet en gooide het drankje weg. Hij maakte erna een nieuwe koffie maar op een agressieve manier, hij zette het glas stevig op de toog en morste melk waardoor het glas vies werd uiteindelijk. Je kunt de rekening (met de opmerking waarin werd gevraagd om de melkschuim in plaats van de slagroom te vervangen) en het drankje dat we hebben gekregen op de bijgevoegde foto zien.
