My family and I had a reservation at 8:15 PM. When we arrived, the staff promptly seated us, offered the menu, and took our order: four pasta main dishes, one appetizer (the pinsa), and drinks. The pinsa and drinks arrived at a reasonable pace, which is why I gave 2 stars instead of 1.
However, we never received our main dishes.
By 9:25 PMāover an hour after placing our orderāwe were still waiting. We asked the waitress about our food, and she went to ask the chef. She returned to say we were the next to be served (and I should note, the restaurant was not fully packed due to the rainy, cold night).
After another 10 minutes passed and we visibly showed our frustration, the waitress approached us again, seemingly on her own initiative, and informed us that another table would be served before us. At that point, we had run out of patience. We were disappointed not just with the wait, but with the lack of communication and transparency. We decided to cancel our order and leave.
Just as we were leaving, the chef came out to explain that everything is made from scratch and even invited us into the kitchen to prove that she was just starting our order. But that only added to our frustration. It had been nearly 90 minutes, and for a restaurant to expect guests to wait that long without any updates or apologies feels completely unprofessional and unwelcoming.
This was meant to be a special eveningāwe hadnāt seen each other for a yearāand instead of sharing good food and memories, we shared disappointment and frustration. By the time we left at 9:45 PM, no other restaurants were accepting new guests, and the evening was effectively ruined.
The overall experience was a major letdown, and I wonāt be returning. I sincerely hope no one else has to go...

The restaurant is a delightful blend of good taste and impeccable service. You can tell that the staff genuinely care for each other, and this camaraderie creates a welcoming vibe that customers can truly feel.
The seating is comfortable, and the staff are attentive without being overbearing. From the moment you sit down, they make you feel valued, taking the time to engage with you in a heartfelt way. Thereās no rush hereāno sense that theyāre trying to turn tables as quickly as possible. Instead, youāre encouraged to relax and enjoy your time, a rarity in many restaurants, especially in Leuven.
For me, Fellini feels like a small, warm island of comfort amidst the hustle and bustle.

Ā Ā Ā Read moreFellini is a fantastic find! From the second we walked in, the place just had this warm, welcoming vibe that made us feel right at home. The staff was kind and easygoing, and you could tell they really cared about making sure we had a good time. The food was the real star though ā the pasta tasted so fresh, and the sauce had that perfect balance of flavor you only get when someone actually knows what theyāre doing in the kitchen.
We also tried the pizza, and it honestly tasted like something straight out of Italy ā thin, crispy, and loaded with flavor. To wrap things up, we shared a tiramisu that was ridiculously good. It wasnāt too sweet, just light and creamy in the best way. Everything about the night felt effortless and genuine, which is exactly what you want when you go out to eat. Definitely a place Iāll be coming back to...
