I lived in Japan for 4 years and have been craving for decent Japanese food because it is extremely hard to get here in Belgium. The choice was always bland and unauthentic cheap ā€˜Japanese’ food or extremely expensive, fine-dining restaurants. I have had bad experience here from the ramen I ate, and as of now there has not been a place that I think was cost-to-value efficient. So and so, I always hesitate to try eating at a Japanese restaurant, especially sushi because it is the dish that requires the best of ingredients, which is almost always bad if you are not spending more than 30 EUR. I found this place after some time researching and I decided I can’t hold the crave no more. I got the student meal, which was, 14.50 EUR. The styles of sushi was not the most authentic other than the maki, but I can say the rest of the experience was. The ingredients were fresh, the rice-to-topping ratio was perfect, the condiments and garnish was authentic. I didn’t take a picture but I think the best part of this meal was the gari, the pickled ginger. I can say, it was comparable as that in high-quality sushi restaurant in Japan (like that in Tsukiji market). The only problem that I think could be improved was to have a bit more vinegar in the sushi rice. I think it is a bit too bland for authentic taste (and for my taste). It was not filling for me but I think for the average person it is enough. Considering 6 piece nigiri in Delhaize was 10.50 EUR, this is already much better in volume. I still can’t say this has the best value if it were in Japan, but I can say this is the best Japanese restaurant so far in Belgium. Also they don’t have dine in so takeaway only, both order in shop or through app.

We ordered Student Menu 1 to our home via Take Away (with free delivery!) and it was insane! I think the place is cheap for such quality. So this menu comes with 24 pcs. and I think each piece was 1.5 to 2 times larger than a regular sushi piece. This menu can feed two people easily. The ingredients (especially salmon and avocado) were really fresh and the taste of the rolls was very balanced. My favorite was the one with the tempura shrimp (second one from left) but the fried roll (the last one) was also decent which has teriyaki mayo on top of it. I also really liked the effort they put by adding a bit crunchiness in each sushi (either with a rise crunch, a fried onion or a tempura), which makes the eating experience more satisfying in my belief.

it used to be my favourite shushi in Leuven. I witnessed its quality from high to low, but the price got higher and higher. Today I ordered a takeaway as usual, but I received spoiled food! I am so disappointed since it is so obvious spoiled avocados. I have to say no any more to this restaurant. Pls don’t contact me, I don’t accept any apologies.
