Madmum Coffee Roasters & bar Brusselsestraat — Restaurant in Leuven

I used to come here everyday to prepare my exams, I was a daily customer, then one day the guy with blonde hair came to me speaking in Dutch ( and he knew exactly I was a foreigner) and I had ordered in advance a matcha which is not so cheap (5,50€), I was with my laptop since 2 hours and the place was empty so I wasn’t taking the place to anybody and he tells me “ you have to try to order something else having your laptop “ I felt the pressure while I didn’t want anything else more than the matcha I still had in my cup, I stayed for 15 minutes more having my eyes on me from this waiter, then I left and I promised myself I won’t come back anymore to this shop. You lost a daily client, you are a good chain but you don’t know how to handle with customers, especially when they are foreigners, in my culture a way of speaking like that is unbelievably impolite, consider you are In Leuven in a...

Stumbled upon Madmum when exploring Leuven and am glad I did. There were winter specials still on offer including a pumpkin spiced chai latte that was made with real black tea, cardamon, cloves, cinnamon and yes pumpkin. Delicious! The cinnamon twist went perfectly with it. While it’s possible to use the WiFi here, most people came in for take away or to sit down with a colleague for a coffee and go. They don’t deserve also one star because we were sitting and studying on Sunday. We had one big coffee and one guy came and said that your coffee is already wait while. But it just wait 15 mins. And he said there are customers waiting but no one on the queue and there were a lot of free spots. After 5-10 mins same guy came and take our coffee but it wasn’t finished yet. This is really worst service and attitude I’ve seen. DONT COME HERE if you see him. But others...
