Coffee Onan — Restaurant in Leuven

The coffee was good. Unfortunately, the customer service was ridiculous enough to ensure this one visit is anyone's last one :( After having had two coffees, the owner asked me and my girlfriend to leave the place in order for her to seat new customers. She said we had to order more or leave since we had been hanging out in the place for more than half an hour and it was more profitable for her to have more room for others. I told her I thought this was extremely rude of her (not to even mention inconsiderate and hurtful), as she was kicking us out in front of the rest of the customers that were confused staring. She said she was the owner and that I had to understand she needed to seat other customers, and she picked on the fact that I used the electricity of her establishment (I plugged in my laptop to a power outlet because I needed to charge it for school). If a cafe is not for more than half an hour hanging out, a date, working, or the power outlets are not for customers to use, it'd be nice to know so beforehand. Hi all, I am one of loyal client of this coffee place, one of the best coffee in town. This review is not about the quality of the products but about the attitude of the staff. I do understand takeaway drinks is cheaper than drinking at the shop due to service of cleaning cups, cleaning the table, etc. But doesn't mean takeaway cannot sit at the table even just for few minutes & cleaning the table after before departure to work in the morning while all other tables are empty. Never have any issue for years when I have bought takeaway and sit on the table in the morning before going to work. But today 14/10 in the morning, a new staff came to make issues with me just because I sit at the terrace while all the other tables are empty, I do understand if there was a crowded of people, I shouldn't sit but there were plenty of space why she must come to ruin client mood at 8.30 am in the morning? I hope you can educate the new staff attitude and service carefully before losing loyal...

I was at a festival near the city and someone recommend us to also visit the city and recommended a few places. Onan was one and it really worth it. The coffee was really good and I was also asked if I want it strong or less strong. They have a selection of four chocolates for everyone which lavender and white were very good to our taste (and I’m a dark chocolate person!). The hosts were very very friendly and the atmosphere was really cozy and nice, with all the little details that they paid attention to. They have good selections of direct trade coffees with full info about each farm and farmer, and a wider selection of tees too.
