We came into this town in Belgium to tour the 15th century cathedral De Liege which is simply breathtaking! It was a sweltering hot day, and we found this restaurant with shaded outdoor seating for cold drinks and lunch, it was a Perfect place for people watching. The place was very busy and only had one waiter, who did a decent job, considering how busy they were. My father-in-law, my wife and I ordered the same steak called Viande Polelees and the only thing I can say nice about it is that the plating, although not done well was colorful and that’s the end of the positive comments. my wife ordered it well done as she always does my father-in-law ordered it medium and I ordered medium rare. All three steaks came out medium well and they were so tough that it did not matter if you shaved a thin piece off, it was still so hard you could not possibly chew it. Absolutely do not recommend this place unless you’re just going to stop for a cold beer. All three of us left our entire steak what a waste!

Cosy restaurant. We ordered & got 2 different tasty meals, a tasty lamb chops meal and a steak meal served. Everything as expected, we ordered the lamb chops well done and the steak medium grilled and it was exactly like that cooked! For a brasserie restaurant, two top quality meals. Tarek assisted us with the menu, special menus of the day option and just having a pleasant chat! What I have seen in the restaurant and also read here in the review is that he is the most social guy at the place. Friendly guy, it's really true, who wants to give you a really a pleasant evening! Something to learn / keep in mind by other waitors (also waitors who work in other restaurants). We finished our evening here in La Brasserie the evening with two delicious ice creams (mokka/coffee recommended). Specialty to mention: home made Belgian fries and my girl friend had artichokes and aspergus with her lamb chops meal!

Excellent place for a relaxed lunch. Great food, decent prices, attentive, knowledgeable and fun service by our multilingual waiter Tariq (who faintly resembles the wizard played by Tim Curry in "The Colour of Magic"). We had the meatballs a la Liegeois and the Steakü Brasserie, both were recommended by Tariq, were generous portions, and great quality. Athmosphere/Decor are really nice as well, give an air of cozyness.

Zero, zero, zero, zero stars! I wish I could give this restaurant zero stars. I’ve eaten at restaurants in various countries, and I can confidently say that my worst dining experience ever was at this restaurant. I can’t believe how unprofessional and rude a waiter can be. As two tourists who ordered just one dish due to the large portion sizes, the waiter didn’t inform us beforehand that ordering one dish would mean receiving only one set of cutlery. There was no mention or suggestion about this at all. After we received the order, the waiter brought just one set of cutlery, and when we politely requested an additional set, he said it wasn’t possible! Meanwhile, I noticed that for another table of two people, the same waiter immediately provided a full set of cutlery for both guests before even handing them the menu to place their order. What could this kind of behavior and inconsistency be called? Double standards? Or just plain...

About the food: the fries were of terrible quality and very bad flavour. If a restaurant cannot cook good fries, imagine the rest… in general the quality was very low. We were three people and none of them could enjoy the food. About the cleaning: we changed the place three times because they don’t clean the floor and smells like pee. Not only that but the chairs are utterly disorganised and very dirty. So the floor is dirty, chairs are dirty, and in general bad organised. You can feel they are sticky. It was very uncomfortable eating in a dirty place with those smells but there are not many options in the surroundings at 15.30. About the service: quite low. I ordered boulets à la liéeoise with rice. The dish came with fries and later on when served on the table explained that they did not have rice but did not offer other options, which were indeed available in the menu. If you can eat in another place, that is what I...
