We loved this restaurant so much that we came two nights in a row. Yes it’s expensive. but we don’t mind paying for quality. A meal for two with three courses including drinks and a tip came to about £120.00 Sterling. ||The service was excellent, and staff were very attentive. So much so that the waiter managed to convince me to have a dessert even though I was full and had|not intended to, which made me laugh. Good salesman!||The restaurant is very accessible and close to the seafront, with views overlooking the promenade and street water fountains that are lit up at night. ||The second night we came with business colleagues, and they loved their meal, with lots of “oohs” and “ahh c’est Bon’s” and “super” and “lekkers”, especially their bowl of mussels.||I had Dover Sole and it was cooked to perfection. ||They bring you a little tray of shrimps, gazpacho and small olive, tomato and mozzarella ball on a stick. Delicious. ||The drinks were delicious and I was given a choice of gins and tonics to satisfy my tastes. ||The only one drawback was when visiting the toilets, you had to walk down some fairly steep steps, and they were painted black the same as the floor colour, and could be a little dangerous. There were some white lines, but only on the first few steps, so I would highly recommend that the restaurant put white lines on every single step for safety. I’m afraid I forgot to ask about disabled facilities, but a disabled person could certainly not negotiate the stairs. They may well have a facility upstairs, but I did...

Read moreHad one studio in an apartment building along the promenade and owned by the De Mangerie restaurant on the ground floor.||Perfect location – close to all amenities but not directly where the madness at the beach is (near the Kursaal) in the evenings, stunning view over the sea/harbour (7th floor of building, number 7D), well sized, modern interior with a lot of white and grey thought through, dark wooden floor, clean, well equipped kitchenette with everything needed as water kettle and toaster and even a Nespresso (including some capsules) and some free of charge water and some soda and a beer can in the fridge. ||||Very comfortable super king size double bed, huge TV (channel selection may be a bit limited for international visitors but who really wants to watch TV when doing a beach holiday?), fresh bath with a rain shower and decent water pressure. ||Very friendly personnel in the restaurant downstairs where you check in. Guided to studio and shown everything. ||||Only nitpick is that while the studio is non smoking there seem to be strong smokers in the other studios so sometimes cigarette smell can be noted. ||Also no wifi in place itself but it was not a big deal for me. ||People may also want to note that check in is only possible when restaurant is open. For check out, if leaving before opening, the key can just be left in studio as you pay upfront. ||||I certainly loved the place and can only recommend it as it is for what you normally pay at other places in such a location worth...
