Golden Lotus — Restaurant in Ostend

I love the food here, I’ve been there several times and always enjoyed it!

Unfortunately, I stopped coming back after a bad experience with one waiter, one time the guy was in an apparently bad mood cause he smashed several times our plates on the table being really rude. We accepted it since it was the first time, but after another visit the place was really full and we sat down on the only empty table, we were waiting there for almost an hour just to order our food, they just kept ignoring us until the same guy came to us to say very rudely that the table was reserved (we didn’t know) as soon as we got up he continued to ignore us and didn’t even offer us a new table.

The staff has always been really nice to us, except for this single guy who’s always with a bad attitude which doesn’t make us feel welcomed. I hope the service is better now cause that’s the only problem for me, but so far I’m not willing on...

Did take out Chinese yesterday. I normally go to a different place but wanted a change. First thing I noticed is that you don't get as much food as in different places but the price remains the same.

Portions were still enough for one person so not complaining on that since I'm not an animal but the price could've been a little lower then.

Ordered Babi Pangang and Kulukai. Only the Babi Pangang I didn't really like. The sauce was too different from what I normally eat, tasted somewhat fabricated. I also like Babi cause of the crispiness of the meat which wasn't the case here. My partner liked the Kulukai though.

Terrible service, there was one other couple in the restaurant, the young man in charge clearly wasn’t interested in my business, as I asked for a table and he grunted!
