From the moment we walked in, the warm welcome and attentive service set the tone for a memorable dining experience. The restaurant strikes a perfect balance between cosy and spacious — the setting is intimate yet open enough to feel relaxed and comfortable.
The menu offers Italian cuisine with a creative flair, and every dish we tried was a testament to the Chef’s skill and imagination. The arancini were an absolute standout — truly phenomenal, with a crisp exterior and rich, flavourful filling. The meatballs were another highlight: simple, hearty, and full of flavour, evoking the comfort of a treasured family recipe.
This was my first time trying caponata, and I couldn’t have chosen a better place for it. The dish was vibrant, well-balanced, and utterly delicious — a perfect introduction to this Sicilian classic.
What stood out across all the dishes was their depth of flavour, pleasing textures, and the comforting feel of a home-cooked meal, all while being beautifully refined.

Read moreI had dinner at Baccalameo yesterday and it was absolutely fantastic. As it's an Italian-tapas concept, we virtually tried every dish on the menu (we were 4), and each of them was fantastic. From the amazing courgette dip that comes with bread as amuse-bouche, to the Lime Arancini, the Caponata to the braised pork cheek (to die for!) and the delicious deconstructed Cannolo, everything was absolutely perfect.
Finally, the staff is super friendly and makes you feel at home - a most welcome change in the usual poor service that Brussels has gotten us used to.
