I recently stayed at the ibis Styles Hotel in Brussels and overall, it was a pleasant experience. The hotel's location in the heart of the city centre is undoubtedly one of its greatest assets. Being within walking distance of major attractions and public transportation made exploring the city incredibly convenient.
The staff at the hotel were exceptionally friendly and accommodating throughout my stay. From check-in to check out, they were always willing to assist with any inquiries or requests, adding a warm and welcoming touch to the overall atmosphere.
However, there were a couple of areas where I felt the hotel could improve. Firstly, while the breakfast provided had a decent variety, as a vegetarian, I found the options somewhat limited. It would be great to see more vegetarian-friendly choices available to cater to a broader range of dietary preferences.
Another slight inconvenience was the distribution of vouchers for a bar that didn't actually exist at the hotel. While this may seem like a minor issue, it can be disappointing for guests expecting certain amenities only to find out they're not available. Clear communication regarding on-site facilities would help manage expectations more effectively.
Despite these areas for improvement, my stay at the ibis Styles Hotel in Brussels was enjoyable overall. The fantastic location and the wonderful staff made up for any minor shortcomings, creating a comfortable and convenient base for exploring the city. With a few adjustments, this hotel could easily elevate its offering to even...
Read moreThis hotel is great. The best Ibis I’ve ever stayed in! Clean, spacious rooms (another review saying rooms are tiny made me realise they have no idea what a tiny room is...) room service every day, FREE COFFEE AND CROISSANTS ALL DAY EVERY DAY! The breakfast is also brilliant - and included in your room price! Waffle maker, boil your own eggs (again another review that said you have to boil your own eggs - honestly made me laugh aloud - as if that’s ever a bad thing!) they even provide a copious amount of egg timers so you don’t have to stand and wait... fresh bread & croissants, loads of juices, daily fruit salad, friendly staff... the only negatives I have are: the gym. Come on. It’s 1 defunct bike, 1 treadmill, 1 mat and a handful of weights. The windows don’t open and there’s no aircon - it’s beyond dire. But I still used it every day, so it’s better than nothing! Haha. Secondly is it’s pretty hot at the moment and the rooms are quite stuffy. I’m roadside and have the window open at nights and it’s not too noisy so no biggy really. Lastly my towels got refreshed every day even though I hung them up - save the planet :) I’ll be back! (NB. Work visit for 7 nights). OH lastly - I’ve no idea why there’s a microwave in the rooms! A mini fridge (cool, drinks n that) but a microwave!? No cutlery bowls etc just...
Read moreI know this review is a bit late, as I always plan to write one and then get sidetracked with work, but I had such a fantastic stay at the ibis Brussels Stéphanie from 25th to 29th June 2025 while attending the European Business History Conference at the Université Libre de Bruxelles that I had to share. It had a great location, wonderful staff, and comfortable rooms, and the only challenge was the late-June heatwave (haha). I want to thank the gentleman on the morning shift of 25th June (apologies, I do not remember his name) who stored my luggage and got my room ready quickly, Claude(?) who gave me directions for both the conference and a concert I was heading to, and Susanna (?) on 29th June who helped with check-out, stored my luggage again, made sure I received my welcome drink, and kindly assisted me when my room key expired. Everyone I interacted with was friendly, helpful, and professional, and they truly made my stay memorable. These people deserve recognition and a raise! Next time I am in Brussels, I know exactly where I am staying.
Note: Apologies if I’ve got...
