A MUST see for Art Nouveau lovers. The details of this house from the door handles to the window hinges to the faucets are incredibly designed.
The online audio guide gives an excellent walk through of the architectural elements of each room and of the history of the Hannon's. The online audio guide is free with the ticket. Bring headphones/earbuds as the online audio guide is accessed through your own device.
DO NOT PURCHASE YOUR HANNON HUISE TICKET FROM THE HANNON HUISE WEBSITE!!!
The Tourism Center of Brussels sells an Art Nouveau Pass which allows you to visit up to three (out of list of 10) Art Nouveau sites for the price of one ticket. Purchase the pass instead. It can be purchased at the tourism center in City Hall at Brussels Grand Place or from the Brussels Tourism Center website. You can purchase the pass from GetYourGuide as well but then you will have to actually visit the Tourism Center with your GetYourGuide voucher in order to collect your GetYourGuide pass.
The Hannon Huise is an 8 minute walk from The Horta Musuem. With the Art Nouveau Pass you can visit both these beautiful Art Nouveau locations on one pass.
There is no gift shop per see at Hannon Huise. After walking through this house you are going to be inspired to buy a book of professional photographs of the place even though you will probably take a lot of your own pictures. The book selection of Art Nouveau books at the Horta Museum is extensive, including books about Hannon House.
I highly recommend visiting Hannon House for anyone interested in Art Nouveau.
BE WARNED - NOTHING about Hannon House (or Horta House for that matter) is made to accommodate anyone with any type of mobility issue. If you use a cane, walker, wheelchair, whatever, skip this site and skip Horta Museum as well.
Both the Hannon Huise and Horta Museum are easily accessible from the...
Read moreAbsolutely magical! The guided visit at Maison Hannon is nothing short of a dream come true for anyone who loves Art Nouveau, architecture, or simply unforgettable experiences. From the moment you step through the doors, you’re swept into a world of elegance, beauty, and creativity.

The house itself is a jewel. The moment you walk into the luminous stairwell with its stained glass and flowing lines, you feel as if you’ve entered a living painting.
Highly recommended for anyone visiting Brussels—it’s an...

Nevertheless, in 1976 the municipality of Sint-Gillis bought the building, renovated it completely, and opened reopened it in 1988 as the Museum of Photography for the French-speaking community. Unfortunately, when the museum closed, one could only visit the building during the BANAD Festival. However, the good news is on its way. In February 2022, Hotel Hannon will reopen its doors for the broader public as the Hannon museum, where the original furniture and decorations will be...
