Avoid at all costs
Short story: Ordered 4 things. 1 was ok 1 was messed up, 1 was way below expectations, and 1 never arrived. The 3 that arrived also arrived really late(30 mins for some waffles, while some other people are receiving burgers before us) Long story: I don't usually leave reviews, only if it is amazing or amazingly bad service.
1st. Ordered hot chocolate. It is basic run of the mill hot water+ cocoa powder. Really underwhelming.
2nd. Ordered a bueno Milkshake. We were told they do not have that. We settled for a mango milkshake. It never arrived. At least they didn't put it on the tab.
3rd. Ordered strawberry waffles. As you can see in the picture, it includes strawberry ice-cream. I received banana ice cream which I hate. I asked about it and they said they don't have any strawberry ice-cream any more. They didn't tell me this when ordering. After requesting another one, they brushed me off saying that the ice cream is not normally included in the waffle order, they just add it from the kindness of their heart. Sure.
4th. Ordered one Tatin. The tatin was fine albeit a bit too sweet for my taste. Instead of the vanilla ice cream, we got banana ice-cream again. Didn't even bother calling them and just started writing the review.
1 star as I will actively tell people to avoid this place until they fix this. Were we treated like this because we were foreigners speaking english? We'll never know nor do I care.

Read moreOn the first visit, we arrived just before closing but the friendly staff still allowed us to eat in and order whatever we would like without rushing us. He offered great customer service and willingly showed us what they still had available, even though it wasn’t a lot. We ended up just getting drinks and they were delicious. The mint mocktail (mocktail menth) was refreshing and the perfect blend. The speculoos milkshake was yummy too.
The staff member informed us of the all you can eat breakfast that they serve which we came back for the next day. We paid around £12 each for a huge breakfast buffet- eggs, pancakes, sausages, halal bacon, mini pizzas, patisserie, pain au chocolate, croissants, donuts, fresh orange juice, coffee, tea, hot chocolate and cereals. The patisserie was surprisingly fresh and crispy with a soft centre. We really enjoyed it. The pancakes were also great as well as the fresh orange juice! Overall, definitely worthy the money and great in taste! Would recommend to anyone in the area.
In the evening, we came back for the dinner menu. Again, the staff were welcoming and so friendly. We tried the 4 fromage penne, scampi tagliatelle, chilli cheese bites, tuna panini and the mozzarella panini. Everything was flavoursome and delicious- no complaints. We again ordered the mint mocktail (x5) and they did not disappoint!
Would definitely recommend this place for both...
Read moreOn 30/08/24, after attending an evening walking tour in Brussels Central that ended at 10 pm, I searched for a takeout option near my hotel as I had an early train back to London at 8:42 am the next morning. I was pleased to find Time Off listed its closing time as 11 pm, so I made my way over, arriving at 10:30 pm.
Upon entering, I was greeted with a brusque announcement from the man at the counter that the restaurant had already closed. I mentioned their website stated 11 pm, and he reluctantly conceded but said I could only order take-out which was my intention anyway as I was not looking to dine in. I was too tired for that.
I ordered spaghetti bolognese and chicken wings. Unfortunately, the spaghetti was watery, and the chicken wings were overly salty. Sadly, I only discovered this when I settled in bed to eat. I was very disappointed. While the gentleman did apologize for his initial demeanour, I was appalled by the quality of the food, especially given that I was tired and simply hoping for a satisfying meal to end my evening.
I understand that it may be challenging to serve customers close to closing time. However, if your staff is not prepared to offer the same quality of service and food at 10:30 pm as they would earlier in the evening, I kindly suggest revising the posted closing time to reflect this. This would help set accurate expectations and avoid disappointing experiences for future customers.
