Bernie´s Burgers — Restaurant in Saint-Gilles - Sint-Gillis

On 03/14/2025 at 18:00, we approached this stall to order a hamburger. The guy who served us was very rude. A guy with a mustache. My husband ordered a Smokey burger, to which he replied that it wasn't available. Then my husband ordered something else, and they didn’t have that either. My husband then asked, "So, what do you have?" Immediately, the guy rolled his eyes and rudely repeated the options, almost shouting, while aggressively pressing the screen to place the order. My husband and I stayed polite the whole time because we understand that this job can be annoying, but the customer service was really bad. In the end, I ordered the only thing left, a classic burger, which was awful; the meat wasn't seasoned at all. The French fries, however, were good. On top of everything else, the place was full...

This place cannot be serious in calling itself a gourmet burger place. I never write reviews, but in this case I am so outraged I have to warn others. Do not use the word gourmet if what you’re offering is a third class product, made with no love or respect for food. These people re-heat their “burgers”, which are sorry patties of mince meat, undoubtedly straight from the freezer, in a toaster! They don’t make anything fresh on the spot. The lettuce and tomatoes are far from fresh and the sauce is bland. It doesnt help that the buns are dry. The fries are ok. **Warning! This place is like dealing with a band of thieves in the wilderness! First they give you the wrong food, then when they decide to change the order and give the right food they don’t give the difference in price. They try to say the wrong items are equal in value to the ones you actually want....Nope! Nothing on the receipt is what I ordered and a quick look at the menu shows what I want to be a different price. After much haggling with rude, uncultured people, I finally got my money back and the correct food....which turned out to be blah honestly. Nothing special about these burgers.
