When I mentioned the Armenian genocide perpetrated by the Ottoman Turks in 1915, the owner denied that the Turks were responsible for killing the Armenians and offered instead an interesting new hypothesis: the "Israelis" "made" the Turks persecute the Armenians. I have read many books on the Armenian genocide, but never have I come across such an outlandish assertion. Was there even an Israel in 1915? Selling wines doesn't prevent one from informing oneself properly about history, especially if it is one's own. For the owner is Armenian. Quite simply, one of the best pizzas in Brussels. We've been going for years, and it’s consistently excellent. It never disappoints!

The place itself is cute and clean, with a welcoming atmosphere. The owner isn't always in the best of moods, but that's secondary. What truly sets this place apart is the quality of the ingredients used on their pizzas, you can really tell they care about what they serve. La Jay is my absolute favourite!

The pizzas are very good and well served. The staff is polite but not overly nice or friendly, but that's okay. Prices are as you'd expect: a bit pricier than other average pizzerias but you also have a higher quality and they're not shy on toppings. I was a bit unimpressed by the choice of pizza, not that there were too few, on the contrary, but because they were as you'd find in every other place.
