At this price point, Ya Sham enjoys a very competitive edge. The food is fairly good, a tad better than peer Arabian cuisine restaurants. They prepare the meal in a transparent way, in front of the customers and the meat and vegetables seem to be quite fresh.
So, we were at the place on 24 December 2022. Insanely crowded, we had to wait for a table to become available; took some good 20 minutes. The irritating issue was that the personnel only cared about the food, the rest is apparently a mystery to them. How to treat customers and all is not their business!
Apart from the food, which earns a fair point, the music was blaring loud to the point that the waiter who took our orders, got four out of five meals wrong! I even pointed to the number of the meal on the menu so as to avoid any confusion. Instead of serving the plate with French fries, they served all four with rice!!! When I objected, the not-so-gleeful waiter who was obviously enraged, said OK WE WILL ADD FRITTE! They gave us only one bowl of French fries!
Another point, which is way beneath a restaurant even at this economical price point, or any other restaurant for that matter, is the hygiene conditions of the toilets. It was an absolute nightmare!!! Although the infrastructure was perfect, all the details which make a toilet worthy of the title were missing! Toilets papers were rolling on the floor, the floor was extremely unpleasant! I don’t want to gross you out, but before you go to Ya Sham, seriously consider relieving...
Read moreA quiet corner of warmth and spice. Ya Cham doesn’t try to impress — it welcomes. The scent of grilled meat, warm bread, and herbs meets you at the door like an old friend. I had the mixed kebab platter: tender, smoky, generous without being showy. The hummus was smooth like a small comfort, and the salad crisp, full of life.
Nothing extravagant here, just food made with care and served without pretense. It felt like someone was trying to feed you well, not just fill you up.
A place to pause, eat, and feel a little less far from home — whatever that word...
Read moreUnfortunately I had to report a very bad experience here. I went to eat some Dinner and when i entered I asked to be seated and to have a table for one. They asked me to change tables twice, The first time It was ok. The second time I declined. I started to notice that they were serving everyone except me. After one hour they finally noticed that they forgot (I hope unintentionally) me and instead of coming and apologize they just cooked something random (that I didn't order) and brought it to me. I politely refused. I tried to pay for my...
