Dalmacija — Restaurant in Sint-Niklaas

Dalmacija serves the best meat you will ever eat, period.

I am Brazilian from the southern area of the country. I was raised eating churrasco almost every weekend. I've eaten my fair share of great barbecues on an open charcoal fire. Nothing comes even close to what I've eaten at this restaurant.

I've been to Heston Blumenthal's restaurants and other Michelin starred eateries as well as the best steak houses in London such as Goodman, Mash or Hawksmoor. Dalmacija bests them all when it comes to honest, great tasting meat.

We've had a steak sliced in half and stuffed with the best slices of speck I've ever eaten and wonderfully tasty cheese. It was served with a very light creamy sauce with a hint of pepper, rice packed with flavour, fries and a salad on the side.

The meat was so juicy, yet far from being raw, cooked to perfection in their open charcoal grill. The specks were also perfected in the grill before being inserted inside the meat.

The grill deserves a mention on its own: it is located in the main serving area, and it is constantly blessing the room with flavours, making your mouth water from the moment you walk in.

We've been served by the owner, a very kind sir by the name of Sime Ramic. The service was maybe not the fastest, but certainly friendly and accommodating. I would love to come back every single day of the week and have the same meal over and over again until I die, and I'd die happy.

They also serve a variety of meats on a spear (chicken, beef, pork, lamb, etc), cooked to perfection in the charcoal grill, then finished off right in front of you on the table with flambée flair - looks very promising as well and I'll certainly go back to try it.

This in my first time with Croatian food. I don’t have any knowledge about their cuisine before but I will put my experience over it from here.

The restaurant has nice decoration, very cozy light and relaxing musics. The restaurant capacity is around 30 people maximum.

There were not so many menus from the list but not a disadvantage by the way.

The foods we had were not bad. The prices were reasonable. Drinks were ok.

The food and service is just worth it here! We were so impressed with the food, price, service, and quality. We travelled from London, 🇬🇧 and off to our home in the Netherlands 🇳🇱 The owner is Lilliana and her daughter is Layla. They are such lovely people! Our food was made to perfection 👌🏽.
