Just had dinner there with my husband today. The food and service is amazing. We were driving to Brussel from Ghent, and looking for seafood along the way. Happen to walk in this place, and they were able to accommodate us without reservation. They don’t have English menu, but our server was trying really hard to explain to us. We ended up ordering a mix grill seafood(thirty something euro) and a mix grill of meat (twenty something), a beer and a glass of champagne. Bill was around 75 euro I think. The table had olive, pepper, and bread as free appetizers. And they light up The candle for you :)! The food came quite fast, the portion size is really big!!! The shrimp was really fresh, fish was fresh too with perfectly grilled crispy skin. The ribs were grilled with a bit of texture which I really like( not the fall of the bone soft style). We couldn’t finish the food and had to pack some to go! The portion is enough for 3 ppl I feel. Our server was so nice and offered us a drink for each of us by the end on the house! Which was such a beautiful surprise! To be honest, after traveling for 2 weeks, we are really tired, but the food and service here are so nice, it really made us feel like home! All good, except this restaurant has to realize that their business is situated in Flanders. One of the older persons serving our table refused to speak any word of Dutch, even after being asked. Overall, great place. Interesting design with all the statues. Good service. First, the food was delicious and more than enough. We enjoyed their vegetarian plate which was indeed various, rich and delicious. We sat on the terrace and it was awesome.
