Gambrinus - Tervuren — Restaurant in Tervuren

Very interesting experience. I want to start on a positive note - the service was very friendly and engaging. A warm welcome as soon as I entered.

The ambience was nice, very local, strong sense of community. The presentation was similar to that of a cafe.

But the food was nothing extraordinary. The taste was average, yet the price was a bit expensive, the portion of the stew also seemed small compared to what I've tried elsewhere.

When it comes to menu, there wasn't any, it was on a board. But that aspect wasn't a problem, I instead found...

Amazingly salted peanuts. Very crip to taste and very fulfilling to my hungry sporty stomach. Very wonderfully plain white looking menu with delicious and crispy to taste and crunchy food options desired to fit everybody’s special needs of their peanut choice. I forgot I had a peanut allergy because they were so deliciously baked. I almost chocked myself to death but nonetheless I don’t regret my amazing decision of ordering these amazingly baked...

Gambrinus has a very nice ambiance, good cooking and friendly staff. Unfortunately the menu has very few vegetarian options (there is a salad with cheese). Personally I am not a big fan of "witlof" (Brussel's andives) which seems to be in most of the dishes, but obviously you may like this local vegetable.
