Het Park — Restaurant in Tervuren

One of popular restaurant in Tervuren to dine and quality of dishes explains the prices but as you can guess the majority of their customers are older people. The restaurant itself is not big so it’s recommended to make a reservation before going there when you are with more than 2 people. Their dishes are very delicious so quality are great but quantity are quite small portions depending on which dishes you order it. I ordered meat which is half cooked, it was very tasty and soft. It did took some time for the waiter to get our refill for French fries even though we had to share 1 pot with 3 people (they should have noticed it and should have perhaps just asked us if we need more). As for my fiancé, he got salmon which was expensive for what it was. Chocolate ice cream was just dame blanche so nothing can go wrong. in contrary, The waiters are friendly and social but not attentive enough to ask for not just extra French fries but come to offer if they wanted to pour the bottle of wine. I get the image of being “busy” but as I worked at restaurant in Blankenberg during busy season so comparing to what they have to do was nothing. So I am guessing they provide more services if you are potential tippers.

But I definitely recommend people to dine there if you don’t mind spending more as probably you need to get full course...

Went during lunch hour and the restaurant was half empty. I saw at that moment 4 waiters (waitresses) were working. However one waiter came and kicked us out, stating that they had only 2 staffs working in the kitchen, so the kitchen is too busy and they don’t want to serve more customer. Fine. So we turned away to leave. The waiter continued talking behind me:’if you find more people to work for me, i can take more customers’ . This is really rude and ridiculous. We do understand the impact of lack of workforce, but the restaurant could have apologized and ask if customers would like to wait for longer time. Is it customers’ business or responsibility to find you more staff? If you can’t find enough people to work, maybe you should reduce the size of the business, instead of kicking...

We visited here whilst visiting Belgium on a recommendation from family. We were on time and greeted by 3 very friendly waiters. We ordered our drinks and proceeded with our starters' order. We shared our dishes so we could taste each others food. What can I say but just delish. On to the main & again I was not disappointed. I opted for the T bone steak. I enjoyed every bite. I couldn't manage a dessert, but my son ordered the chocolate cake with ice cream. My adult daughter tasted his and just had to order. We had a wonderful evening here. The food was fantastic. The company was great. Although the restaurant was busy, the staff were very attentive. It's a lovely town and well worth the visit...
