De Foyer — Restaurant in Tervuren

Highly NOT recommended. Waited more than 30 min at non peak hours; asked for a smaller fork for the child but they didn’t have any ; the cutlery they have is ridiculous, more suitable for giants than people ; finally I got my food which honestly didn’t look very appealing - the asparagus was not properly cleaned and was overboiled, drowning in a sea of watery unknown stuff; the eggs were cut small and thrown over the asparagus … the kids menu featured only spaghetti and lasagna . The first and the last time we come here. They didn’t offer an apology not they suggested...

It took us some time until we finally managed to notice the place. It is located at the end of the Tervuren park and across the main admirative center of the town. In the same building you last have the public library.

The place is very modern and the staff is very friendly. We went first time there in the middle of winter and had a coffee. It was more than OK but going in winter it dies not do justice to the place. It is the summer when the place comes into its own and if it is a hot sunny day, which is rare event in Belgium, the terrace is bustling...

Greatest on a sunny day when sitting outside on the large terraced area. Conveniently located between a Tervuren Park entrance and the library/cultural centre. Just off the market square too. Plenty of seating. Good drinks and food menu, amazing burgers. Very reasonably priced mocktails. Service can be a bit slow when they're busy. Looks like there's plenty of space for group bookings. Nice atmosphere and indoor...
