This place has a reputation of being a fancy and quaint terrace for the Belgian classy audience. Whereas this might be true for the fresh seafood, it seems that the staff is somehow mistaking themselves for the audience they'd like to see. Be prepared to struggle for the attention of the waiters and be also prepared to hearing "I'm not responsible" until you find the person servicing your table. The terrace seems nice for groups and at the evenings and there is a wide choice of fresh seafood, prepared by the voiturier who parks your car and treats your Oysters with the same pair of gloves. Further there is a wide choice of wines and Belgian specialities around fish and meat, close to no vegetarian dishes though. Prices are above average. The lack of professionalism paired with high prices and and even higher self-perception will not change over night but only over management. Hopefully a unequivocal review helps to get there, George.

I really enjoyed my visit to Brasserie Georges. The beautiful, spacious terrace makes for a wonderful experience in good weather, and valet parking is available, which adds to the convenience. Service was generally good, though it could have been more attentive – we had to flag down our server several times. The menu is excellent, offering a wide selection typical of a classic brasserie. Every dish we tried was flavourful and cooked to perfection. The mussels were outstanding, and the fish fillet was also excellent, though at around €50 it felt on the expensive side. Overall, Brasserie Georges is a pricier option, but one that delivers with its setting, atmosphere, and consistently high-quality food.

This is a clear example of an excellent brasserie, with french cuisine: tasty food, impeccable service, lovely atmosphere, accessible prices, kids friendly. We were there with two small kids, aged 4 and 3 months old, the staff was very friendly and professional. Food wise you get a very broad selection of choices, including seafood, with many assortments based on lobster. Dessert wise we had one of the best pastry we ever had, their adaptation: Paris Brest de B.G. A choux pastry, with a mousse with hazelnut flavor, and a surprise white praline sauce melt inside. Mouth is dripping as I write this review! In fact we went twice there in our 2 days visit of Brussels, for the dessert 😀

Just had an unfortunate experience which now makes us think twice before stepping foot there again. This used to be our regular go-to dinner place after taking the kids to Bois de la Cambre.

So, upon my strong recommendation, a bunch of us met up for dinner there to celebrate a friend's birthday recently. As we ordered a few dishes, including their famed 'Fruits de Mer' for the birthday celebrant, we requested for 6 extra pieces of Shrimp Imperial. Unbeknownst to us, they erroneously locked in our order as 6 portions of small grey shrimp instead of the 6 Shrimp Imperial. Did they not think it was completely bizarre for a table of 5 girls to order 6 extra crazy huge portions of grey shrimp?

Being the trustful patrons we are, we did not scrutinize/count every item on our platter when it arrived so nobody caught the mistake. It was only at the end of dinner, where one member of our party crept away to promptly settle the entire bill and after paying, she presented the bill to the rest of us that we caught the error. We pointed it out to out Waiter but there was really nothing he could do, they could not refund the mistaken order as we had "already consumed everything" which is fair enough, but still it was not our mistake that they messed up our order. We also did not want to create a scene to put a damper into the positive vibes for our Birthday gathering so we left it at that.

In conclusion: times are bad and restaurants seem to be out to make a killing, so please be careful and double check ALL your orders when they arrive at this Brasserie and check your bills BEFORE paying in order to avoid falling prey to these...

Terrible Service – Avoid if you expect basic courtesy

If I could give -10 stars, I would. I arrived on a Sunday afternoon with my baby in a stroller. The terrace outside was completely empty, so I thought it would be easy to sit down for a drink. Instead, the waiter clearly tried to avoid me, and when I asked if they were open for drinks outside, he barely acknowledged me and told me to ask his manager.

Confused, I asked, “So you don’t work here?” His response? “My boss decides.” No effort to be helpful, no attempt to check, just complete indifference. It was obvious that getting inside would be tricky with the stroller because of the stairs, but instead of offering a solution or even the slightest bit of hospitality, he made it clear: he just didn’t want me there.

Absolutely unacceptable attitude. If you’re looking for a place that treats customers with basic respect, go...
