Pizza Roma Ieper — Restaurant in Ypres

Avoid this place! 6 of us tried to eat here the other night. We were seated and tried to order drinks. There was group of drunken yobs having a party upstairs who kept coming down and causing damage outside the shop. The staff didn't care, even though it was their delivery car that was being damaged. Finally our drinks arrived and it took a while for them to take our food order. Meanwhile another group of blokes had also come in. After 45 mins, the other group got their food (or so we thought). We waited. We asked where ours was. Didn't know was the answer! After an hour 6 meals arrived. 3 were correct, the others weren't even close! One was accepted, and 2 went back. 20 mins later 2 meals arrived, one was ok, the other not even close. pathetic. It went back. Meanwhile the other group had had enough and asked for their bill, for they too hadn't got their complete order. Eventually we had 6 meals, of very dubious quality (how can you get a pizza wrong). Excellent, we just arrived in ypres late this evening and didn't fancy the restaurant thing. Staying in Novotel this is only a short walk away. The host's are very welcoming and sat us down to order off the menu x 2 pizza's kebab and fries to go although the cafe restaurant looks really good clean and nicely decorated the beer selection was great and wines coffee etc too. Once we got back to the hotel the food was piping hot and was absolutely delicious a good convenient meal and only a step away from the main square polite friendly English speaking staff too, this is our first time in this town and we found a great place to eat. I would give this establishment a five star...

Bad service. I had to wait an hour for my food to be ready and while I was waiting people that came 20, 30, 40 minutes after me got their order ready in ten minutes. When I asked them if my order was ready they just answered “yeah, yeah” and continued giving other people their orders.
