Ok people, keep in mind, this is a review using the Belizean metric, so you must be in a Belizean state of mind when considering the rating and review. So is it a five-star restaurant? No. Is it one of the better places to get brekkie in San Ignacio? Absolutely. There's indoor seating, but they also have a nice outdoor patio (one area is covered, the other uncovered) so you can catch a nice breeze and watch the local hustle & bustle passing by as you enjoy your coffee and crossword. The food is excellent, with some rather unusual choices for brekkie (at least in terms of what you'd see on a Chicago brekkie menu) like ox tail. Don't skip it, and say hi to Julee and Debbie when you arrive. They're very nice ladies, like the vast majority of Belizeans are.

Super yummy! The food here is delicious. We ordered the banana break with cheese, johnny cakes, ox tail, and fisherman's breakfast. The ox tail was braised for a long time and very flavor. It's a bit salty but it's bearable. However I got mostly bones and there weren't that much meat in it. The fish hash was really good. And so was the banana bread! The atmosphere was really nice and the servers are super friendly.

We went to breakfast here two days in a row. The food was just amazing and delicious 😋🤤. The dudes cage with plenty of food for a decent price. Cash and cards were accepted here. There was a gentleman there called Glenn who was really nice and friendly. They are only open for breakfast and lunch if I'm not mistaken. I got the banana pancakes, they were super delicious!

Very dissapointing experience. In conclusion: if you don't have the time or don't want to wait for 2-2.5 hours for your food (even breakfast), I'd recommend choosing one of the other options in San Ignacio.

They have 13 tables to serve with 2 waiters and 2 cooks but still take a crazy amount of time because: 'they don't prepare anything beforehand'. We had to catch a bus at 2.30h in the afternoon and arrived at 11.25h. After waiting for 1.5hours we got a bit worried and asked if it would be possible to eat within the hour (!) (which I would already be ashamed to get that question). We got reassured 2 more times after that. Fast forward we had to leave in a hurry with no food arrived, Belizian dollars we still have left and a wasted 2.5 hours.

If they just would've been honest (or at least friendly) from the start we easily could have gone someplace else...

The food looked...
