The Pond Restaurant — Restaurant in South-East District

This is a huge let down. The menu offers a long list of non-alcoholic drinks. I told my waiter the one I wanted - “we don’t have it any longer” Then I asked 2nd choice “We don’t have it any longer” It turned out that of 12 dinks in that section of the menu they one !! Same with steak/meet section where they had 3 out 7 listed. So I said I want a very tender steak and took his recommendation. If you know steel belted tires by Goodyear then you know my steak. I abandoned my meal. I realized then it is not really a restaurant – it is a bar and night club with some foods. Fine for them – clubs are great too but if you seek a meal avoid this place. I have to say, the spicy chicken livers at this place was amazing along with the gravy that it was in. My server (Andy Anderson) was very good and attentive. The reason why I deducted one star from Service and Atmosphere is because there were staff (young ladies) sitting at the front who did not greet me or offer to seat me when I walked in.

We recently visited the Pond Restuarants on our trip to Botswana, I must say this... it was an amazing experience. Our waiter Thebe was amazing and made sure we enjoyed our time there. The food was delicious 😋 ... this is a definite must try when you are in Botswana Gaborone. We are definitely going to come back on our next trip...
