A Culinary Gem in Belo Horizonte – Glouton Exceeds Every Expectation
Why this restaurant doesn’t have at least one Michelin star I do not know. From the moment we stepped into Glouton, I knew we were in for something special—but nothing could have prepared me for just how extraordinary the experience would be.
The service alone deserves a standing ovation. Rafi, the head of house, welcomed us with genuine warmth and an attention to detail that set the tone for the entire evening. Her passion for hospitality radiates through every interaction. And then there's Raynara, our waitress, whose charm, attentiveness, and knowledge of the menu made the night truly unforgettable. Both of them went above and beyond to ensure every moment felt personal and perfect.
And the food? Simply put, it's culinary artistry at its finest. Every dish was a masterclass in flavor, balance, and presentation. The ingredients were fresh, the combinations bold yet harmonious, and each bite a reminder of why Glouton is celebrated not just in Belo Horizonte, but throughout Brazil.
I’ve dined at many renowned restaurants, but Glouton stands out as an experience that lingers in the best possible way. Without a doubt, it is the best restaurant in Belo Horizonte. If you're looking for impeccable service and world-class cuisine, this is the place to go.
Looking forward to going back again...
Read moreI had high expectations about dining at the Glouton, but in the end the experience was just ok. The restaurant entrance is quite nice and you will see 2 separate dining areas. If your table is in the front, you are fine. If not, it’s not so good. We were placed in the corridor between the 2 areas, which is dark and not so nice. The waiters were friendly, but completely unprepared to describe the dishes and answer simple questions about the menu. We decided for the tasting menu and food was ok: some dishes very good (guava and cheese dessert) and others not so much (tuna dish). I also didn’t find too much of the classical local cuisine in some dishes, which I was expecting according to the restaurant description (like dishes with seafood and sea fish are not typical from this state). In summary, a good restaurant, but I didn’t...
Read moreDon’t keep your expectations high, folks. It is not worth it at all: mid-too-expensive food. Go to Mercado Central and save your time and money. This is my first Google review, just to show how overrated this place is.
A tacky place your douche cousin would take the young girl to “impress.”
I was so excited about this restaurant, but it was very-very “meh.” The food was, at best, edible for a pair of hungry travelers. It was extremely salty and did not match the incredible Minas Gerais food we had on the entire trip. The service was slow and disappointing; they also took 30 minutes to bring the bill. The manager flipped once I asked him about it after spending half an hour waiting in a half-empty salon. Weird and unnecessary. I do not...
