Le Mir Comida Arabe — Restaurant in Região Geográfica Imediata de Foz do Iguaçu

When I saw the writing on Google, I am rushed down to this restaurant. It was Saturday night and very busy. I didn’t mind waiting as I was looking forward to a gastronomical treat Lebanese style. How disappointed I was. I would have a starter and a main. The first problem is they brought both of them out together. I had to ask for the main to be taken until I’d finished the starter. I didn’t enjoy the starter as it was covered in a yoghurt sauce, which was not mentioned on the menu, and of course when I received my main it had dried out and I couldn’t even eat the French fries. There is only a tiny bit of tomato salad and no peppers in sight, which has been described as part of the dish, I suspect I will running out of food is so busy so they set up substandard. A surprising Lebanese restaurant in Foz do Iguaçu, Brazil. The waitresses were wonderful from the start. There was a clear language barrier but they were determined to help us understand each item on the menu. Using a mix of Portuguese, Spanish, English and lots of pointing at things, we made it work.

We tried the Deluxe Tasting Menu with the Hummus, Babaganoush Le Mir, Fatoush Salad, Makanek Sausages and Kafta in Pita. The main part was the Mixed Grilled meats of what seemed to be Lamb & Chicken. Two desserts were also included and we got the Malahbi & Massa with Ice Cream.

Everything was delicious and the portions were huge. The Fatoush Salad had a nice sweetness that we weren't used to. The Babaganoush had a perfectly smokey flavor to it. The Lamb kebabs were very succulent and melt in your mouth.

Quality: excellent. They cooked their lamb perfectly.

Would I get again? Yes, especially on a date.

I would like to specifically point out the service was outstanding. They patiently spent over 20 minutes going back-and-forth with me on google translate. I never felt pressured or hurried.

On top of that this is one of those restaurants where the staff is trained to watch you from afar, waiting for you to make eye contact for service. It is on the highest tier of service. You don’t notice them until you need them 👌
