The place is upscale, but also friendly if you want to wear your flip-flops and pay the price $$$$. The environment was a delight, featuring stylish, modern furnishings that created a cohesive and sophisticated atmosphere yet very beachy, clean look. I will go with all reviews I read about it on that, and about the staff. Very friendly and professional at the same time. They use tablets, nice, right, which I think it take a drop of personal touch off, since I like to ask about the dishes, anyway. Very nice live music, a pint loud to maintain a conversation, but ok. About the food, I’m a local, love our food, shrimp is a must and they have plenty of options, we ordered a appetizer of shrimp garlic paste on a cassava brioche roll and chips, it was delicious 🤤. All their portions are good enough, appetizers and main dishes. Great. But I may go against all reviews I read about the main dishes: my friend and I decided to order individual plates good looking, so we can share the flavors. Both came to the table almost cold 🥲Mine had a pumpkin puree with cashew nuts toasted flour and broccoli rice, “acerola” or “Barbado’s cherry” spicy sauce - the shrimp had no flavor, a bit overcooked, just there seating on the plate, and I felt no “acerola” spicy sauce even though I could see it. Very good portion; hers was a linguini pasta with white bacon sauce with brazed shrimp, portion for 2 people could easily eat - again the shrimp had nothing to do with the plate, tasteless sitting there, no bacon flavor either. So we missed some punches, some wow. It was a Saturday, and I will give another try because they seems to vary the menu each month, plus they have an executive menu (entrée, main dish, and dessert (we didn’t want give a try at this visit) for a very good deal $. We didn’t take pics, but I found...
Read moreSo good, we went 2 nights in a row. The ambiance was great. The food was great. The service was incredible. They paired us with an English speaking waiter who was awesome (Fabio, well done). Additionally, we ordered four bottles of a wine that we really liked, and they only had three, so they went to a sister restaurant and grabbed one more bottle... completely unnecessary, but well above what was expected and very appreciated. I can't recommend this restaurant more. The menu has an option to change it to English and it has pictures...
