Dishonest servers. Beautiful atmosphere and attentive service, but pay attention to the bill as servers resort to fraudulent and misleading tactics. Our server was very charming and heavily promoted a 20% discount on wine. When the discount did not appear on the bill, the server seemed uncomfortable and his explanation was that wine prices were going to be raised soon, and the 20% was off of the “future menu price”. Of course he was unable to provide any evidence of this. My wife is a native Brazilian and I am an American fluent in Spanish, with a good understanding of Portuguese-we both interpreted his statement the same way, as blatant fraud. Unfortunately, my wife reports that this type of fraud is common in Brazil. It is a head-scratching choice to resort to such dishonesty, as this bar has a lot going for it. It’s unclear if this is the work of a single server or a regular policy. The person who made the fraudulent claims appeared to be a manager, and other staff members referred to him as the master of ceremonies. EDIT PÓS POSTAGEM: após uma primeira impressão positiva, desfiz completamente a imagem positiva quando voltei para curtir de novo porque achei que era um dos lugares "repetíveis". Após ir no almoço (avaliação acima), fui voltar no por do sol, onde é prometido ter saxofone e flauta. Chegamos e perguntamos, CONFIRMARAM que ia ter. Notamos que no entardecer o atendimento foi BEM PIOR que no almoço, teve uma hora que o garçom viu a gente chamando e simplesmente não foi na mesa, precisando um outro dar um toque nele. Não bastasse isso, notamos que deu 18h, sol se pôs e NADA de ter o saxofone e música ao vivo. Pedi a conta e perguntei do saxofone, o garçom olhou no relógio e disse: "já era pra ter tido faz horas". Simplesmente não teve, não avisaram nada e lá se foi 300 reais na expectativa de ter uma experiência bacana. Não houve justificativa nem nada, só disseram que o músico não foi e ficou nisso... Será isso frequente? Levei um dia de azar? Nunca vou saber, pois aí não volto.

Mudo minha avaliação para: vale a pena? Meh, vale, a comida é boa (não a melhor da ilha), o preço é bom para o padrão da ilha, mas eu tive duas experiências COMPLETAMENTE OPOSTAS. Não sei se recomendaria, talvez pela vista e dando a dica de não contar com bom atendimento ou com o sax no entardecer.

AVALIAÇÃO ORIGINAL: Linda vista da praia do cachorro e comida super bem servida. No caso fui para almoço e não janta/baladinha. Pedimos um prato de picanha que dá para 3 pessoas comerem fácil. Preços de acordo com a média da ilha, não estando entre os maiores. Bom...

Food took long to come out. The wait was not worth it, the fish was oily and flavorless.

Can still be a good spot for those looking for small bites, drinks, and a view. Expect higher prices and possibly a longer wait for food.

Place was not crowded, about 4 tables total, others had already received their food. Sat down at 1:30pm. Ordered at 1:40pm. Received food at 2:45pm.
