O Pico — Restaurant in Região Geográfica Imediata do Recife

Flavio, a bartender at Pousada Marvalha clued me in yesterday when were talking about music and I was trying a shot of delicious cachasa (sp?). He said he was going to be spinning vinyl that night at O Pico ( Brazilian soul, reggae, trip hop etc) and said the food was great, especially the Shrimp Risotto, so, after he suggested making reservation, which sometimes they allow because it is pretty small, I got the front desk to call them. Since it was our anniversary it sounded like a great place to try out. I am so glad I did because it was absolutely maravelous! Perfectemente!!! We had perfect service, a perfect meal with the perfect romantic ambience provided via their elevated open patio and Flavio's delicious tunes! It made made us feel completely welcome, and an unhurried delicious experience. We arrived at 8 PM/10 hr and still there were many open tables but the place was soon full. So if they allow it best to make a reservation. The Shrimp Risotto was to die for! For dessert our server recommended the French toast with ice cream and chocolate ganache for which I have no words to describe. My Brasiliana partner had the fried fish which was prepared perfectly with fish caught the same day and which she loved. In addition witj Flavio spinning rare Brasilian records, the romance in the air filled our hearts with peace and joy! The delicious meal filled our souls. My friends and I had the best meal in all of Fernando de Noronha at O Pico! Not only is the food delicious, but the ambiance is wonderful and the restaurant has a stylish decor and vibe. Our waitress, Camila, spoke perfect English and gave us excellent food and drink recommendations. She was so friendly, fun, and kind that she really made our dining experience!

As a vegetarian, it can be hard to find unique food options, but I was pleasantly surprised to find multiple options to choose from. My friend and I shared a beautifully decorated salad filled with many different kinds of vegetables and the vegetarian tapas. Both of the dishes were delicious! My other friend got the tuna poke, and she said that it was the best one she ever had.

Muito bem localizado, vizinho (ou praticamente integrado como uma extensão da loja da Atlantis Dive), ao lado da Igreja na Vila dos remédios, proporciona uma linda vista a partir do deck elevado. Os pratos são gostosos, bem executados, e numa faixa de preços bastante interessantes quando comparados com os outros menus de outros restaurantes e bistrôs da ilha. O stinco de cordeiro, que tem uma apresentação bem diferente (e chamativa) lembra uma coxa creme gigante (na aparência, apenas), com um osso espetado no que seria uma "coxinha", mas, no caso, de cordeiro desfiado. O prato estava perfeito, e isso vindo de alguém que, estando no mar/litoral, raramente troca algo do mar por algo da terra. Troca valeu à pena e por muito pouco não repeti quando voltei. O atum da ilha (pescado localmente, fresco de verdade, selado, com legumes, também foi um prato delicioso. Repetiria ambos. Por que não 5 estrelas? Minha esposa pediu/comeu o ceviche, mas o toque da cozinha não fez um prato que justificasse ser servido no preparo diferente do tradicional ceviche peruano. Chamava-se Ceviche, mas não era ceviche, e, ao mesmo tempo, e por isso mesmo, não deveria, no menu, levar esse nome. Outra coisa que pontuaria é que as garçonetes aparentemente não atendiam por setores ou quadrantes, e até aí, tudo bem. Desde que sempre rodassem o salão atentas aos olhares e gestos dos clientes, o que não foi o caso. Isso gerava uma certa dificuldade em sermos vistos - e atendidos, mas nada que me impedisse (ou que impedirá) meu futuro retorno ao Pico. Obrigado, ao Pico e à equipe pela maravilhosa...
