We had dinner at the Madero restaurant in Barra Shopping, Rio. Overall, it was a very good experience.
The meat was excellent, perfectly cooked and very tasty. The side dishes were also great. Service during the meal was very good as well. The staff is attentive and always nearby in case you need something, without being intrusive.
However, there were two aspects that left something to be desired.
First, when we asked for the bill, we had to wait quite a long time. Apparently, there is only one person in the entire restaurant who is authorized to process payments. At the end of a meal, when you’re ready to leave, the last thing you want is to be kept waiting. We had to wait several minutes, which was a bit frustrating.
Second, my son ordered the kids’ menu with two mini-burgers, which he enjoyed so much that he quickly ate both and was still hungry. We ordered another set of two mini-burgers for him, and despite specifically asking the waitress if it could come a bit faster, it ended up taking over 15 minutes. Clearly, the request was not treated as a priority, and by the time the food arrived, his appetite had already faded.
Apart from these two points, it’s a very solid restaurant. The atmosphere is nice, although the furniture is starting to feel a bit dated and could use some refreshing.
Still, the quality of the food, the overall service, and the price make it a place I can...
Read moreMadero - listed as ‘The Best Burger In The World’ per their gigantic sign which is just a ad to seduce people to come try their burgers in my opinion. 😂 The burger is far from the best burger in the world. You can’t even add onion 🧅 which is what many burger enthusiast love to have with their burger, unless of course they don’t like onion. But onion is what brings out flavor in the burger & opens up the taste buds even more. Sad & disappointed that I could not add onion. You are also charged more for pickles. The burger could be considered flavorful for some but to my taste they just added sugar into the mix whether the meat or the sauce. If you look at my picture you’ll also see that they just threw on the tomatoes and pickles & did not care about the placement so that every bite had a balance. If I had not opened & checked one bite would have practically been pickles/tomato. It’s sad that the world is becoming less & less caring & prideful about quality. Only a one star review for a less than...
E tivemos a surpresa do tamanho do prato. Nunca...
